The atmosphere is casual, and the food is excellent. I would give them 5 stars, but the only thing that stops me is they can be slow during peak times. Their staff is friendly though. I would highly recommend (if you don't mind waiting a little bit).
Wow! I’ve been to University Village for other restaurants there and Thai Udon Cafe always caught my eye, so now that I have finally tried them I can say that I am so happy we decided to go here for dinner! I ordered a bowl of the Japanese Ramen Noodles and being a ramen lover and having made the dish myself a few times, I was so happy with how this came out! It wasn’t too salty and it had just the right amount of flavor. There were so many vegetables which I loved about the dish even more. The shrimp was a perfect amount and it was served nearly boiling hot which is perfect for ramen from a personal standpoint. The atmosphere was very welcoming and clean. Our waiter “T” was so lovely and lively and made our dine in experience even better. I’m so happy I tried this restaurant and I will definitely be back in the future! (:
Absolutely THE best Thai food in SW Florida. The soups, the standards (pad Thai, num ya, curries, volcano chicken, etc.) and a multitude of other innovations are absolutely delicious. 3 years going and never had a bad meal. Service is impeccable—incl. “how’s your mother been.”
Steak teriyaki order just like it’s listed on the menu, generous amount of steak but veggies were slim pickings. Overall taste was ok.Spicy cashew chicken, NOT spicy at all, fair amount of chicken and cashews in dinner entree.Crab Rangoon were delicious.
Super friendly service. Excellent food. The ingredients are fresh and the food is amazing. So glad we stopped here. Our family was so hungry and they served our dishes so quickly, yet the food was fresh and tasty. They didn’t have the exact dish my kids wanted in the menu, but they made it for them when we asked for it! :) Melissa is super sweet and helpful and perhaps the friendliest server we have ever met!! :) Thanks for a great meal, Thai Udon Cafe!

Service is fantastic, for in house and carry out. Very polite, thorough and they get it right. Food is fantastic. Veggies are fresh and crisp. Thai Udon is the top of my list for Thai food!!
Have been at least a 1/2 dozen times. The Tom Kha Is soup is amazing. Authentic, great food preparation, good ambience inside and out except when they are slammed during high season.
