Was there with my granddaughter. WOW what a nice place. Food was great and different choices for a change. Service was very very good . Charles our waiter was very attentive. A real pleasure to meet Dave the owner. I can't wait to go there again. So we'll decorated and very comfy.
Was there with a girlfriend to have coffee. Owner, David, came up to us and asked to leave since we were only having coffee. I can understand that they were busy and needed the table for people who were going to eat. We then moved over to the sitting area which consists of a couch and 3 high back chairs. We continued our visit and were still drinking coffee. David then came over to that area and asked us to leave again that we couldn't stay if we were only having coffee. I have never been so offended in my life. Will never go back no matter how good the food is there and I have been there a few other times to eat but this time we just wanted to have coffee and enjoy the atmosphere. Big mistake!!
This place is so cool! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff is friendly and helpful. The place is beautiful! This is not your Dad's diner! It has nice seating for breakfast and lunch, but even more, it has wood floors, leather couches and upbeat music. I went in for a coffee while my wife was in outpatient surgery. I sat for hours while I waited. I only bought a (delicious) cheese Danish and a coffee and they continued to check on me. The menu and the food coming out looked delicious. I am only sorry I ate before I got there!
We've been frequenting Sweet Bean for ten+ years. David and his team pay attention to detail. Everything on his menu is done to perfection. They offer a great variety of fresh ground coffee from around the world, which is also available for purchase. His cakes are out of this world- all made in-house. Expect to pay a fair price for a great product. And realize during busy hours, you may have to wait for 15-30 minutes. There is a reason locals frequent Sweet Bean- and you'll see the same faces over and over.
Lovely place inside. Service was very poor. Had never been there before and was not told how to get coffee, just handed empty cups.(You have to get up and serve yourself we learned) Myself and 2 friends came for brunch. Food was mediocre. Our server never even checked if we needed anything or how our meal was. We left a tip but it really wasn't warranted.
Loved the atmosphere as soon as we stepped in. The owner was super down to earth. The food amazing. We loved this place. Recommend this place for every time of day to eat.
I’m sure the food is amazing, but we waited for 25 minutes only to walk up to check on our table and find the door locked. We knocked on the door and waited another 5 minutes for someone to come to the door and tell us that they are closed because “no one came to work today.” Super disappointed.
It was my favorite morning place, but young kids running the show now and no respect, to bad what the owners build up with hard work get destroyed from rudest unprofessional and unqualified young employees!
I had a horrible experience at this establishment today. The man that was working in the cafe area was so despicable and rude to me, we LEFT IMMEDIATELY. Not only were we told, if we sit outside, we have to serve ourselves and get our own refills, but this horrible man would not even give me a cup of ICE for my 80 year old mother. We didn’t even place an order yet, all I wanted was some ice for my elderly mother, and he denied us ICE. Also, he screamed at me and humiliated me in front of the entire restaurant, I was so embarrassed. I have been a loyal customer always taking our family there when they come into town. I WAS DISCRIMINATED AGAINST, I WAS TREATED HORRIBLY AND I WILL NEVER GIVE THIS ESTABLISHMENT ONE DIME OF MONEY EVER AGAIN, ALSO MAKING SURE EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT HOW WE WERE MISTREATED.
The owner is the rudest person I think I’ve ever dealt with. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone!!!!
