This is the best Barbecue Restaurant you will ever eat at!!! We drive 30 miles one way every Saturday to eat here. Tammy is an excellent waitress!! The owner Terry is a super nice person and is very hands-on. We are Barbecue fanatics and have eaten at every barbecue restaurant in Florida and this place is out of this world!! Give it a shot, I promise you won’t be disappointed this is number-one for Barbecue! Price is reasonable as well!

Went to Mitchell’s Bar B Q for 4th of July BBQ with my family. Service and atmosphere were great. Food was excellent. Best BBQ I’ve had in Fort Myers in years! The ribs were beefy and tender, fell right off the bone! Their white cheddar Mac and chz was so unique and delicious. The Prime Burger was outstanding! So much food, the leftovers were enough for another meal! Definitely will be back.

I am not Gordon Ramsay, but this place is bland inside and out. From the decor to the food. Everything is clearly cheap frozen food just baked. Everything taste like frostbite. Can’t believe I spent $50 at this place. (I don’t like confrontation so I didn’t complain about our meals.) could have went somewhere way better tasting for cheaper price. The meat was absolutely terrible. On the bright side the staff was wonderful and nice.

As soon as you hit the door you smell the aroma of that fabulous smoked meats. Great selection of smoked meat, unique and large selections of sides to go along with it and desserts for the finale .The staff is amazing! You won’t find a better BBQ in town that makes you feel right at home than Mitchell’s. They’ll remember you by name

I don’t think I’ve ever had pulled port be the consistency of beef jerky before but here we are. The Mac and cheese is really salty , the coleslaw taste grocery store bought . Would not come here again .. pretty pricey for subpar food

Very disappointed. The reviews looked great, but after visiting I'm thinking they were are fake. The not so good reviews fit perfectly. We visited for the first time during lunch and had high expectations as Mitchell's took over Sonny's.When we first sat, we noticed the menu was a single piece of paper that was poorly printed. The table was extremely sticky and the menu had to be peeled off of the table. We started with the loaded tots. For almost $8 you receive only 5 pieces. It comes with a dipping sauce that is chilled so the hot food with a cold sauce is a strange thing.I ordered the ribs/chicken meal. The ribs were very dry and had a bland flavor, despite being ordered with sauce. The half BBQ chicken was very dry and would be miserable if you didn't have a drink to force it down.I had a side of Mac and cheese which was swimming in cheese sauce and green beans that were... just green beans... They didn't have much flavor. The silverware was absolutely disgusting. The knife and fork had a thick layer of what looked to be grease. When I wiped it off with a napkin it left behind a brown residue. All in all we were very disappointed not only with the quality and flavor but the prices.

Food was very yummy. I was soooo excited to see a salad bar. Husband got AYCE Pulled pork. Was very good. Great service and food

Our family owns eleven Sonny’s on the East Coast of Florida. We decided to visit Mitchell’s after the new owner took over after Sonny’s closed. We can’t say enough about the food, service and cleanliness. We were super impressed and it was great to have an owner that is on site and making sure everything is right. Ribs, slaw, beans, cornbread, and fried okra was perfect!!! Just go!

I have ate there 3 times in the past 6 weeks. The food has gotten better each time. I have settled on pulled pork on garlic toast as my favorite so far. The sweet BBQ sauce is very good and the portion is very generous. Everyone has a different opinion of what real bbq should be but I have no complaints about this place, will return soon and I hope it does well.

I have been there several times. With a different experience each time. Fist trip being pretty good but not great. It seems very inconsistent .Second trip was ok . I ordered baby backs and st. Luis ribs. The baby backs were not good at all and the owner agreed He checked the others. And all were undercooked so he replaced them with more at Luis ribs. They were fantastic. Let’s face it Sonny’s ribs were good but kind of hit or miss. I really felt, and told the owner that the st Luis ribs rivaled any rib Sonny’s ever put out of their kitchen.Next trip not so great. St Luis were nothing to write home about. Not Smokey, not tender, not great and a not so appealing color. I wish them well. I probably will go back bit I was a Sonny’s regular and tried but I like consistency.
