This place is such a wonderful mom and pop breakfast and lunch restaurant! Carole served us up some delicious “Stackers” and OJ. Everything was prepared fresh to order and perfectly to our liking. We have had multiple work associates recommend this place and we were definitely not disappointed. We will certainly be back! On top of all of that - Thank you Carol for taking care of me today when I forgot my purse in my post-surgery haze! You really went above and beyond to find me and get it back to me and the Get Well treats were so very sweet of you to include! ❤️ The world needs more people like you!
Over priced; I’ve NEVER seen them wear gloves when preparing the food; very snippy whenever I go in there; God for bid they crack a smile & act like they want to be there; they’re the only food spot on that end of the strip so that’s probably the only reason why they’re still in business; I really only go there for the tomato soup lol but after going in there recently, and was not even acknowledged for quite a few minutes, after they popped their head out and clearly saw me (I was the only one there) I will surely go elsewhere from now on!
Was there today with 5 friends from out of state, we were made to feel welcome and had a great lunch! My friends were thrilled about it especially since it was close to Jet Blue stadium and they were going straight there. Thanks so much.P.S. loved the brownies!
There seems to be some overly sensitive people leaving reviews here. The owner isn't rude but rather direct. We are all way too sensitive nowadays and customers at this establishment need to TOUGHEN UP or eat elsewhere. Fyi, I only order the breakfast potatoes and they are excellent. Sometimes at other places, the reakfast potatoes or hard and not soft. I can tell the potatoes were boiled first before frying or something was done to help make them soft. I was a few cents short too and she helped me out. Looking forward to trying the heart attack platter next time ( my name for it) which is fried breakfast potatoes, bacon and sausage.
My husband and I had lunch here yesterday and it was so delicious. You could tell the food was fresh and homemade. We will certainly be back. Carol was so sweet.
This establishment has left me absolutely speechless. Truly. My fiance and I walk into Metro Deli & Cafe for a nice breakfast, Carol has the biggest heart I have ever seen. If you are missing home, or missing your parents, anything, come here. Carol has been in business for 19 years and proves it through wise words and loving actions. Thank you again for what you did for us, Carol. We will definently be back, huge tip in hand. I won't mention what Carol did for us here, as I am afraid of people taking advantage of Carol.P.S. Don't call her Miss!
Carol was fantastic and gave us not only life advice, but the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. This is definitely our new breakfast spot forever.
Didn't feel welcomed, their faces expressed irritation as soon as we sat down. Didn't have much of an option for children on their lunch menu (only one thing to be exact) I asked if they could whip the kids up scrambled eggs or give us their instant oatmeal for them and the ladies response was "no, we have grilled cheese." It's lunch time understandable but maybe add a pb&j for smaller kids or hand me the instant oatmeal and some hot water to make them the oatmeal myself. I was excited to try a hole in the wall business but I will not spend my money here.
Great breakfast or lunch. Wonderful soups and fresh food. Loved it.
Great food, prices and people. Carol, Kevin and the rest of the gang are always friendly and helpful.
