When you first walk in, it's not obvious how you are supposed to place your order. Most of the entrees are served buffet style, but other things like sandwiches are ordered at the counter. The lady who took our order was very sweet. I had a Cuban sandwich and it was OK. They don't use Cuban bread - not my preference.I feel a better floorplan needs to be figured out - maybe do away with the large buffet serving stations in the dining room. When people are waiting for their orders, they don't really have an area to wait in other than at or around the tables. It is one of very few Cuban food restaurants in the area so I do hope they succeed.
Always love the food at Maikel's Kitchen. Even though I speak very little Spanish the staff are always kind and patient with me while I fumble around my words. I don't like how other's reviews state that the staff don't speak English like that's a bad thing.... DUH it's a Cafe Cubano! Of course the main language is Spanish. Don't like it? Then go somewhere else. You don't deserve Maikels generous helpings of amazingly delicious food anyway!!!
Good food, just make sure to call your order ahead so you can take the drive thru and save time.
Just ordered from here on Uber and the food was amazing! Very big portions that I couldn’t even finish it all. Definitely will be ordering again.
Amazing food! They give you plenty and it's worth every penny!
Love this place, similar to some of the places I have eaten in Miami. Literally everything is delicious and portions are huge, maybe enough for two meals. My favorite Cuban spot in Lee County. Staff are also very friendly and helpful.
We got it on Uber eats and everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. I can’t wait to go try it in the restaurant. I have been looking for this food since I moved here 10 years ago, I don’t know how I just found it. We ordered 7 different things from the menu and EVERYTHING was AMAZING. I am so excited it’s just down the street from me.
PORTIONS ARE HUGE!!!! First time here with a party of six: growing teenagers and adults. We all loved it and left satisfied with leftovers. The staff was super friendly, the food tasted great, the restaurant and restrooms were clean, the price is excellent for the combo which includes a fountain drink as well. Bakery items looked fresh and warm. Our new place to go to when we visit Fort Myers.
I love this restaurant. The food was delicious and they serve big portions. They have a variety of authentic Cuban food, sandwiches, pastries, and amazing natural juices. The owner and the staff here are all friendly and attentive. This is officially my go to Cuban restaurant in Lee County.
I tried this place the other day and I was blown away! Tons of choices, big portions and incredible tastes! I brought my left overs home to my wife, she loved it too. We both came back today and we are both impressed once again. If you like Hispanic food then this is place will not disappoint!
