Good place to grab a bite to eat. I'd put it high on the typical bar food scale. Had breaded pork tenderloin and partner had a buffalo chicken salad. Tenderloin was good but i forgot ask for just mustard and pickle on it. It had tomatoes, lettuce, pickle and ketchup (what? Anything but ketchup!) Even with that it was good. Salad was large, even with the mild buffalo sauce it had a little bite to it (not bad just be aware that mild is not "no heat"). Service was fast, food was decent and you get huge portions. Would stop back there again if in the area.
Had lunch today, 07/06/22. Have eaten there a bunch of times. The staff was great, friendly and attentive. My reason for the 3 stars is based on my wife's coconut shrimp basket. Simple put the shrimp were under cooked. This poor quality of food unfortunately seems to be a recurring theme. We will not be back. Too many lunch options to choose from.
After fishing with Captain Jay of Get Reelin’ we brought our fresh catch to the Lazy Flamingo in Ft Meyers for best lunch on the trip! We provided the lovely server the fish just caught about 30 minutes before for their team to prepare. The lunch offered family style sides and we opted for coleslaw and fries. While waiting, husband enjoyed the clam chowder while I had oysters on half shell. Both were quite good and fresh. The service was swift and the fresh catch meal was delivered hot and delicious. The meal and service were wonderful.
I went to the Lazy Flamingo for lunch on Memorial Day weekend. The place was practically empty. That should have been a clue to leave. I sat at the bar. I did not receive a very warm welcome by the bartender. I ordered a grouper basket that cost $22. If course, a grouper basket is a fried meal and boy it was extremely greasy. The grouper and the fries, which were abundant, was not very tasteful. I didn’t eat very much of the meal. The bartender just took the plate away and didn’t ask whether I liked it or not. Not recommended.
Stopped in for lunch. Very casual and laid back bar atmosphere.Your normal bar food but Great!I had a Buffalo blue burger. It was Cooked perfectly, juicy and big.He got the fish tacos and he said so far the best in the area and he has eatenA lot of them!Nice pour on the cocktails and good service! Will definitely return when in the casual mode.
Great chicken wings. Big,tasty, and the hot sauce will not make you choke. The fish is good too. It's a little dated and a little bit beat up but maybe they are going for that look.
I got sick from the food. Beer was flat with no head so I had to send that back. The "parrot wings" tasted old. Also the spice on it was off so I asked what they used to "make it very hot." They used pepper flakes and old bay spice. No one uses old bay spice on wings, they use it on seafood. My friends on the other hand had over cooked food and old food as well. The other bad part was the place stinking like cooked fish the sat in the fridge for a week and reheated in a microwave. Never coming back. I would rather buzz off to a fast food joint.
Great service and the BEST fried oysters...big, juicy and fresh!! Coming from a former New Englander that is a compliment! Very cute, beachy rustic ambiance.
Cute place. Fast service. Appetizers were great. The fried shrimp and the grouper were ok. It tasted fresh but the breading was a little blah. If the breading were fixed it would have been awesome. The lazy mama cocktail is really good if your looking for a sweet drink.
Visited most recently Feb 2022. Many fisherman and locals. Gets packed. A local hot spot. I visit everytime I stay at Useppa Island. My favorites are the Big Burger ? and fries. Many other great selections on the menu. A must visit when on Pine Island ?. Give The Lazy Flamingo a go. Located at Four Winds. At the end of the drive way.
