Laura introduced me to this trattoria last night, WOW! Smiling faces greeted us upon entry, lots of fun art on the walls, cozy feeling. Marco took great care of us and described the evening specials. Patrick has raved about the Stuffed Plums so we started with that…. DELISH! I enjoyed the CAPRICHOSA, tomatoes, shrimp and a delicate pasta flavored with pancetta and basil. Laura was happy with the Yucca and Stuffed Artichokes. The food is layered with flavor, light and oh so DELISH! I can’t wait to return! Thank you Marco for a wonderful experience!
A Pleasant Surprise. I heard about this restaurant from several friends. The location threw me. I recognize this spot as being The Steering Wheel, automotive sporting accessory store back in the 80's. I have fond memories of Jeff and Myra Smith. Now its a stellar Spanish/Italian restaurant with everything from tapas to paella to great Bolognese. I had the seafood paella, she had the veal parmigiana. Both were excellent. The shellfish was fresh and the veal was tender. At the recommendation of our server Sara, we tried the stuffed plums tapas and they were amazing. There are great wines by the glass. We had the Spanish Grenache. It was Excellent. We have a new favorite!
Great food. Tapas are amazing and the pasta is best I have ever had. We went on a Wednesday without a reservation no issues with getting a seat. Service is the only area for improvement.
My girlfriend and I drove 45-minutes to have dinner here on 2/11, we arrived five minutes before our reservation (6:45pm) and were asked to wait ten minutes until our table was prepared. This was not an issue whatsoever especially because it was a busy night. When we were informed our table was ready, we were walked over to a table that had not been cleaned/reset so they asked us to wait another couple of minutes, so we stood a few feet away as the table was quickly reset. This was not a big deal either, I used to work in fine dining and miscommunication between servers/bussers and hosts happens sometimes. After the table was reset, the same host walked back to the host stand, grabbed another couple, walked them to the table they had just cleaned for us, and sat them in front of us while we were standing there, just feet from the table. The host did not apologize or even give us an explanation for the situation that just occurred, she just walked back to the host stand and left us standing there in the middle of the dining room. It was the most surreal experience I have ever had at a restaurant and extremely disappointing. My girlfriend and I ended up walking over to Caffe Milano and had a great time. I think this strange and frustrating situation was due to a lack of experience from the hosts and inability to act under the pressure of your typical Friday night crowd.
We weren’t sure what this was going to be like as it was off the beaten path in a strip mall but what a gem!!! Delightful, personable service and a very interesting menu. We started with stuffed plums and mussels for appetizers. Stuffed plums were the most unique delicious flavor. Then salmon special and linguini for dinner with a cannoli dessert. Very reasonably priced. Gloria, the owner stopped by to chat with us and was just a delight. All of the servers were attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the attention ti detail by our own server Marco. Will be back! Highly recommend this “hole in the wall”
We often order an appetizer before ordering our dinner. However, the waiter informed us that we would have to order everything at the same time. So we likely will not return as we like to enjoy an appetizer/tapa while looking over the menu. The wine list is minimal and pricey. The food was delicious, especially the paella.
Tucked away in a plaza anchored by Jersey Mike's, this long time local gem has a long time loyal following. Great lunch spot, popular for dinner or just relax at their wine bar for tapas.
pleasantly surprise my friend wanted to go here food was good I got some pasta with fish.I also got some dates stuffed with cheese wrapped in prosciutto ham it was amazing.
My to go order was wrong. I ordered 2 paellas a la tierra and I got 2 paellas a la Valencia. Too expensive to get the wrong order. I came in on Wednesday during Lunch the server was Marco.
