I came here today to check out Kung Fu Tea, and I will be a regular customer after trying out afew of their Milk teas and Milkshake/slush type teas. The boba is delicious and sweet. The place is really cool and clean inside. My favorite drink from here is definitely the Cocoa lava slush and the regular milk tea.
WATCH OUT: This place is very cool and I will admit the drinks are AMAZING BUT unfortunately the boba bubble (the chewy ones) taste like grape. I thought maybe it was just me but my sister also had her drink with the same bubbles and she said the same thing, now imagine I had coffee with bubbles and I’m sure you can imagine how weird that taste… I couldn’t finish it. We went up and asked but they told us that’s just the honey you taste. I would only come back just for the drink itself not the bubbles.
My 8 year old has seen this boba all over YouTube videos etc, so this weekend she asked to get some, I went straight to google and seen this place. I knew this was going to be a unique type of taste I was a tad bit nervous actually. But what she wanted she received we headed down to try some boba. & let me tell you.... my husband my daughter and I picked from their wide selection of drinks... & we all LOVED each drink. I got coffee with the honey chewing boba and milk foam with extra sugar . Soooo amazing. The daughter got a strawberry slush with honey boba and my husbands was the best out of all of them the blueberry lemonade slush with popping grape boba. Absolutely great .!!! Bonus picture spot lol
The boba is amazing but their customer service is absolutely terrible I ordered online and ended up waiting 20 min for my drink that was sitting there the whole time. I didn’t mind the wait because it was busy but it was how the female employee handled the situation that got me upset. When I came in I told her I had an online order and she literally just walked away. After I got tired of waiting and saw how different she treated another customer who ordered online I asked her the second time about my drink and she gives it to me. I told her I was waiting for 20 minutes for a drink that was ready and she says sorry with a laugh on her face I asked them to remake my drink and they refused. She should not be working in customer service.
It’s exciting to have a tea shop so close by that I can immediately call a new favorite. We tried three different flavors of milk tea and all were smooth, refreshing, and flavorful. I was only inside long enough to pick up a mobile order, but the shop is very clean and inviting with a great atmosphere. Very excited to stop by again soon to try more of their expansive menu!
I always order a coconut milk tea. The guy who makes the milk tea, I’m not sure if he’s the owner or not, likes to water down the milk tea. When the girls make it it tastes good but when he makes it he adds more water than tea. He said it only comes with 100 mg of tea and the rest water which is not true. He chooses what customers to make it with only black tea for. I have had bubble tea for many years it’s not my first time drinking it. Every time I go there now I specify only make with black tea no water but it’s not something that I should have to say. I travel a hour once a week or more to this location. I order milk tea not water.
The customer service is HORRIBLE… last time I went the girl literally answered a phone call (on her cell phone) while she was still helping me, and continued to talk on the phone (while holding her phone in the same hand she was making my drink with) the entire time she made my drink. Today she was there with another girl, I walked up to the counter and both of them looked directly at me (didn’t greet me at all) and slowly turned and walked away and the guy took my order. I’ve never had a super warm experience with customer service but the last two were horrible, but I went back because I loved the drinks. Today I had a NASTY taro milk green tea (the guy made it). Super bitter, and I ordered it the way I always do. Obviously inconsistent with drink making, and majorly insufficient training. Was so excited about good boba and was a customer at least once a week, but with too many bad experiences I will not be going back.RESPONSE TO REPLY- My drink was 30% sugar, just as it always is. It’s like there was no taro flavor, all milk powder. I watched the drink being made, there was very little taro. Also, it has been at least a week between my two really bad customer service interactions, and the girl was not any more pleasant. Still learning, or not caring? ?
ordered a taro milk tea and it did not taste anything like taro. called 5 minutes after i left to see if i can get refunded or a new drink since taro wasn’t made correctly and the guy said to go back with the drink and receipt and he’ll remake it. once i got there he repeatedly refused to remake or give me a new drink so then i asked for a refund and he also refused to give me a refund and started raising his voice while i stood with a calm tone just asking for a new drink he began to laugh in my face . i worked in a boba shop and know how drinks are supposed to be made and taste so it wasn’t my first time trying that flavor.i do not recommend this place and will not be going back.
Very delicious tea. Highly recommended
The staff is nice when greeting and receiving your orders. However, the only thing I don’t recommend in this place is getting their coco cream wow as it legit just taste like water. I’ve been to other Kung fu tea places and never tasted like this before. The only thing I recommend for the place is to have better customer service when receiving constructive criticism about their drinks. Never offered to remake the drink even when the customer complained about the drink. But, I bet their other drinks are good it’s just usually the coco cream wow— so if you like “milk” tasting like water go ahead and get this one if not stay away from this drink!Edit: I saw the owner’s response, — and per my last post my main disappointment is that I did not like my drink, and no Kung Fu Tea staff suggested to make me a new drink or recommend me a drink that I may like instead. However, I got told an ingredient list with no solution to me wasting $7 for a drink that I had to essentially “suck it up and be thankful.” I want to support this Kung Fu Tea as I have been a fan, but based on the owner’s response this says it all. Rather than deescalating this simple problem in person, you are creating a new problem.
