Asian Barbeque Dim Sum

This is your run of the mill, typical dim sum place that also offers the usual Chinese food. The wait was pretty long to be seated at a table. Service was great until you have a dispute with them. Unfortunately they don’t leave a copy of the dim sum dishes you order (in our case 15 total dishes), and we received a wrong dish and was missing a dish. When asking about their error, the waitress tried to charge for the 1 item we had accidentally ate on a dish that wasn’t what we ordered. (KEEP A COPY OF WHAT YOU ORDERED!)Otherwise than that, the food was alright. Typical dim sum portions are usually about 3-4 items per bowl depending on the food. In this case, most of it was 3 but the sizes were pretty small. Particularly the famous and well known soup, shrimp and beef dumplings/shumais all had very sticky and almost dried out skins that tasted like it was sitting out for a while. This is probably the result of them bringing every dim sum dish out at once instead of preparing each one on a cart when ready. The Korean pancakes were unfortunately a disappointment and tasted way more like “nian gao” which has a very sticky rice cake texture to it, instead of tasting a thicker or even crispier dough to it.Ginger Bistro wouldn’t be too bad if you’ve never had dim sum before, but I wouldn’t come regularly.

I'm half-Asian (Vietnamese) and am always on the hunt for really good cuisine whether it's Chinese, Japanese, Thai, etc. I fell in love with dim sum back in the 90's when I visited an amazing dim sum place in Chicago's Chinatown. Pan ahead to present time in Southwest Florida and you'll come to realize the options here are few and far between. Alas, my next door neighbor (half-Chinese) highly recommended Ginger Bistro. So yesterday (4/10/22) we met up with some friends/neighbors down the road from us and ate more dim sum than should be legally allowed. It was SO good, SO fresh and presented beautifully. Everything from the dumplings to the turnip cakes and the eggplant was wonderful! The service was polite and efficient. The only hiccup was that I asked for a glass of water with lemon (in addition to the tea we all ordered) and after a second request was given just a plain glass of water (I ask for lemon because it usually helps with the flavor of typical tap water). That said, this place still merits five stars. The restaurant is clean, modern and conveniently located off 41 with ample parking. We will definitely return! Highly recommend if you're in the fence and are looking for a dim sum place. If you go, go early to avoid the lines!

Was really excited to try this place. We had the duck, crispy pork belly, and the ribs. All were very disappointing. The pork belly was so dry I couldn't chew it to swallow it. The duck was so fatty and dry on every piece and each bite had bone. I felt like I was only served the spine of it. The ribs were just mediocre. For the price $$ I expected more at least edible food.

Very good food! Excellent service as well

My family and I had lunch here a few times now and sadly, today will be the last. The quantity and quality of their food is not as good anymore. One of our order was Salt and Pepper Pork Chop for $13.95. I was very disappointed with the quantity. It was not worth the $13.95. We are not going back.

Good customer service. The food coming fast. Follow me at LaJilaryViajeradePRpal mundo.

The food was absolutely great and presented well. This place was also ADA accessible for anyone needing to come in with a wheelchair. However, the food took a long time to be served and I felt the service was not the best. I will consider COVID, but they had a lot of staff servers.

thank you tika for a great dinner experience! they were short staffed but handled the situation perfectly and professionally.

You will leave filled - especially if you order a lot of the dim sum options. Everything we had tasted great (consistent each time visited). Make sure to get there early before the rush on weekends. My favorites (from dim sum menu) are the eggplant, pork bun, sesame ball, egg tart, glutinous rice/chicken in lotus leaf all with chrysanthemum tea. The other main entrees are good too (I've had in the past). My friends and I take a special visit up to this restaurant since there's nothing like it near Naples.
