I stopped here with some friends. Our server, Aubrey, was great, but as far as the food, not my cup of tea. A descent menu and daily specials are available. Everybody ordered something different but I ordered the Country Fried Steak with brown gravy, corn fritters and a sweet potatoe. The corn fritters were cold, the sweet potatoe was good and the CF Steak was horrible. It was fatty, no taste and soggy! I just let it go as I enjoyed the bread and corn bread with butter prior to our meals. Lots of desserts but didn't have any. The CF Steak was a small portion for the price I paid. Others at the table enjoyed their meals but I didn't.
I travel all over and I am appalled that this place is even listed on Triadvisor. The food at this place is absolutely the worst diner I have ever eaten at. I’m mystified that the place has clientele. The “food” was a boiled, tasteless mess. Even the color was nauseating.
Stopped in for lunch on the way to our hotel. Everything was delicious and our server Kylie was sweet friendly and fun. I had liver and onions prepared perfectly and the fried green tomatoes, yum. Great southern cooking comfort foods. Wish we had a restaurant like this in northern Indiana. We will definitely return next time we come through.

Great breakfast. I ordered eggs, hash brown casserole and bacon. Everything was great! Eggs cooked perfectly and the bacon was thick and delicious. The white toast was meh, I should have gotten a biscuit or English muffin.
It's been a few years since we visited. It was so good then, pre Covid, I wanted to make sure it was still good. It is. It's a good example of down home cooking. The chicken and sides were wonderful. We ate a piece of in restaurant chocolate cake and was greeted with a mouthful of Non organic ingredients. The cake blasted my wife and I into a sugar rush. Evacuation though they made it in house it was made with outside ingredients, it was not pleasant. We have to travel several hundred miles to eat here, We will go back.
We love this place. They have the best selection of veggies. We love to sit at the counter. Excellent service and the food is superb.
I wanted to try this authentic place for the pie. We found it and went early, so got right in, We ordered a piece of coconut cream pie right away........it was VERY cold and thick and puddingy. Well nothing good like an Iowa pie. The place is a Hole in the Wall like we like, The Waitresses exceptional.... I ordered the chicken strips....nope those are NOT chicken strips, just chunks of chunks with breading. We left most of them! My husband had the Shrimp and grits like always,and said they weren't the best. Just Blah. I had corn fritters for the first time. they were good and if you like luke- warm mashed potatoes with chunks in them then you would like these. The rolls were to die for!!! Just not consistently good food. And as far as the Pies? They were Homemade but you better come to the Midwest if you want a good flakey crust and a REALLY good pie. Not going back. But the Breakfast Meals looked awesome!
Deep fried chicken livers delicious. Last here 8 years ago and if anything it is better. Huge portions, great food and service. Great Old Florida ambiance.
