MOLD IN FOOD.My boyfriend and I were very excited to get the food we ordered from DJs Chinese since we've had a great experience for years but, when we brought it home, we realized the food was MOLDY! We were so disgusted because it was not noticed until midway through our meal. We decided to give the restaurant a call with our horrifying discovery and we were met with yelling and a claim that we were lying about the mold in the food. We politely offered to send a email or text of a picture of the mold in order to receive a refund, and our offer was rudely declined. With no other option, we had to make a unwanted hour round trip in order to put the moldy food in their face so we could finally get a refund. WE WILL NEVER NEVER BE GOING THERE AGAIN AND I SUGGEST NO ONE ELSE TO EVER EAT AT DJS CHINESE UNLESS THEY WANT TO GET SICK!
Food was outstanding probably the best Chinese i have had in SWFL. The soups Hot & sour, and egg drop wonton were served hot and were very flavorful. The scallion pancake was outstanding thicker than and larger than any i have seen before and tasty. The pork Chow fun had noodles that tasted hand made and pork that was freshly roasted. The sesame chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside tossed in a very flavorful sauce.Service could be improved as we were seated at a table for over 25 minutes and not even given a menu. The table next to us had a menu so my girlfriend went up to the counter and grabed some for us to read.
Went here based on recommendations... the food was really good. Reminded me of the Chinese food back in New York. Will definitely be back.
Great food and service. Very well liked by many
This place doesn’t need your business. By the way the the customers were treated I suspect the owners / managers were not around when we visited. When we arrived there was a Caucasian elderly couple waiting in front of us for a table. I scouted the restraint and there were open tables. Normally I cut the staff slack for being understaffed or whatnot but they repeatedly walked by us and the other couple with no greeting or even eye contact. Two Asian ladies came in who were their friends and they instantly greeted them and told them a table would be ready soon. After another 10 minutes of standing with the other couples and staring at empty open tables I made the call to go to Ginger Bistro down the road which I highly recommend.
You need to leave at least one starTo get Your opinion posted,Walked inTo a stack of cardboard boxes And people waiting for take-out orders Out of the seven tables In the restaurant Four of them were filled with dirty dishes We waited about 5 minutes No one approached us we Turned around and walked outThe place is disgusting
This was our first time there. We were a party of 4. We had a total of 7 different dishes and each one was very very good. The service was also very good. We will definitely be back soon.
Simple, family style business. The food is very good, although I don't care for traditional Chinese sauces. I always get the Wanton soup with Xtra rice noodles. Yummy. The staff needs to work on their English, because the lack of their acknowledge sometimes causes non intentional roodness. The menu needs a little work ! More description and maybe pictures? Otherwise, very good place for its value.
Won’t be coming back, service was horrible they forgot one of my parties whole meal and brought the check (we thought we were waiting for it) but the staff hides in the back and doesn’t make eye contact with you when they are in the dining room. so you don’t get the chance to ask, and when we told her the meal was missing she laughed and said sorry. The food we did get wasn’t bad but nothing special.
Good price and good portion for your money. The food is also very delicious.
