Not what I expected from a Hibachi/Teppanyaki experience. No “show”, no tricks, no conversation, no interaction.. the chef basically cooked for us .. in front of us. That was it. It was my kids first time at this style restaurant and a family members birthday. The food was very good .. but the chef/experience was very much subpar. Very disappointing.
Daruma is in a great location and a beautiful building. I recommend making a reservation to make sure you get in to enjoy this place! Prices are high but the quality and quanity make it well worth it. We sat as a family and did the hibachi experience. The cook was very nice and entertaining. Our overall experience at Daruma is 5 stars and I don't give them often! Thanks Daruma! Your staff and food were top notch ?
Don’t get me wrong, restaurant is beautiful. Food was good but portions were small for the price, specially the hibachi.I’ve been to many hibachi and any kind of Asian restaurants and I have a shellfish allergy, which I always tell the person who is helping us.We already order, I order vegetarian sushi not hibachi, the manager comes and ask us to sign a non liability or responsibility for my allergies, which I could understand if this happen when we order but I already ate have of my food so I don’t feel safe anymore, plus I’m pregnant.Not happy with this situation.I would never go back.I understand allergies is no joke which is why I always tell in advance my allergies and carry my epi pen.Not telling me this since the beginning made me feel unsafe.
We had the lamest hibachi chef ever. No tricks, no conversation, needless to say the atmosphere was awful. Felt very uncomfortable…The shrimps were over cooked and dry and the fried rice and the veggies were super salty.One of my daughters didn’t even get her soup, nor her salad but of course we were charge the full 30 dollars for the shrimp hibachi including these items.When my salad was served the server spilled ginger salad dressing all over my blouse and ignored that completely.Really such an awkward atmosphere. Very disappointing as it was my husbands birthday and we had such a great experience the month before with a different chef. Initially made the reservation mentioning the birthday and I also reserved for the birthday photo and the cake. That was completely ignored. Nobody even asked if we were there celebrating anything.Definitely not returning for a while, or maybe next time I request to have a hibachi chef that does actually do ? tricks and offers a bit of entertainment.Yesterday’s disappointment came with a 240 dollar price tag for 2 adults and 3 kids…
Didn't really get the "show", no tricks, little to no conversation I was hoping for from the hibachi. Husband ordered sesame chicken, it was just the regular hibachi chicken with sesame seeds sprinkled on it. $5 worth of seeds, apparently.?
We have come to Daruma several times while in Florida. It is always the best quality! We love to sit at the bar and watch the friendly sushi chefs create !!
We have been dining at DaRuMa for years now. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and the food is first rate. When ever we have guests we always try to take them here. The chefs are very entertaining and highly skilled at what they do. Over the years, almost every dish has been tried. From the sushi to the hibachi, it will not disappoint.
Love, love, love. I sat at the bar. Fresh sushi, the salmon roe is delicious, and the presentation of the food is great. Another time, I came with family and sat at a table. My family loved it. We all had fun.
Awesome place very nice people. My waiter Lucas was very nice and friendly. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars the lighten is a little too dark ?I couldn't see the menu. Other then that everything was good. Everyone should tried the salmon ? fried rice very yummy. Very clean place also ?
This place deserves nothing but a five star review if I could give 10 stars I would. My boyfriend and I stopped in about 30 mins to close on Tuesday night and both of us working in a restaurant know that’s kind of rude to do. But it had been a really long day and after cooking all day at our restaurant we didn’t feel like cooking at home. We walked in expecting rude service and hoping to makeup for our rudeness by leaving a nice tip. It was the total opposite. They said that we could order at the bar, the bartender a tall blonde, was so nice and sweet, gave us everything in a timely and perfect manner. The food was just fantastic perfect spot for after a long day. It’s really nice to see other people who understand what’s it’s like. I really was blown away by this, to the manager you have a wonderful staff and fantastic food.
