This is the third time we visited Dante's, and it has always been good, but on this occasion it was very poor. My wife ordered the shrimp Cesar salad and got a tiny bowl of mostly lettuce, no croutons or parmesan. I ordered a burger and specifically asked for it to be cooked medium, but it came out very well done. And finally, I ordered a glass of Malbec which for $14 was just a dribble in a glass! Sorry guys, but won't be coming back based on this latest experience.
We asked to eat outside, loved the location and the music.We ordered 2 individual pizzas. Mine came fine. My husband was eating his with multiple toppings. As he was eating his first piece, toppings ( or what we thought were toppings) fell off. My husband looked down at his plate and realized one of the toppings was a baked fly. We brought this to the manager's attention but feel they did not believe us. Maybe they thought since we were outside, it got on the pizza there. It did not!!!! It had been BAKED!!!!! It was Crispy with no wings. They replaced the pizza. However, made no offer of taking the cost of the pizza off the bill. Disappointing!!!!!!!
The food quality was good. Lasagna and pizza I thought we had deep fried mozzarella before, but it wasn't on the menu. The waitress was attentive but not friendly at all.
Gnocchi beef stew was good! Very attentive service.
This was our first time here and not only was the food amazing, but the staff were so welcoming, friendly, and efficient! We had the Shrimp Diablo and the Giardianiero Pizza (I may not have spelled that right.) Highly recommend! Thanks to our waitress, Kate!
After reading recent reviews, was honestly a little scared. The place is huge, which to me means they have to do some serious volume to keep the lights on. This also means, they couldn’t be that bad? Since so many Pizza places aren’t open for lunch and this was close, we gave it a whirl. Hip vibe. Pizza was the best I’ve had since moving to Fort Myers. VERY clean tasting. Packed with flavor. Ample beer menu. Service was excellent. Just go!
we found Dantes last year when we came to ft. Meyers and definitely had to come back great food and the pizza is awesome stone fired pizza. really friendly staff also would definitely recommend.
The eggplant involtini appetizer is my favorite meal. The portion is more than enough to make it your entree. We usually split an Italian salad which is enough for 2 people. My husband’s favorite is the calzone. Ironically, we have been disappointed n their pizza but everything else we have tried has been delicious. If. Could change anything, it would be the loud music. Hard to have a conversation in there.
went to Dante's with my wife and 92 yr old Aunt. My Aunt wanted to go for the eggplant appetizer which she had before and loves it. Well we were not disappointed. My wife had the eggplant as did my Aunt. I had a make your own burger. We also had the bruschetta and caprese salad. The food did not disappoint. It was great. Phillip, our server was great. the whole experience was great. I saw the pizza ordered by other dinners and it looked great. Next time I will try the pizza. What a great find in Fort Myers. Thanks
The pizza was very good, however we also orderd 2 house salads that cost $9.95 each. The salads were extremely small and was mostly lettuce. We probably won't eat there again. $45.00 for takeout the high priced under weightThank you for your reply. I do understand that things happen from time to time. A suggestion would be on takeout orders have your server open and show the customer their food! Since you took the effort to reply to my comment I will delete this post. Thank you we are no longer in the area, but will give you another try on our next trip.
