I love to support farm to table establishments. While they were not serving two "seasonal" salads but didn't state this beforehand, I opted for a sandwich. It was bland. Perhaps breakfast is better. I believe dinner is "order-to-go". I would go back. They also have a small grocery of food items; jellies, sauces, honey, etc.
A great find! A small working farm with the restaurant and a small selection of produce, meats and desserts! It was so much fun to sit down with a meal on the four seasons patio room look at the farm and the beautiful lush ferns and palms! It was quite an experience! I had the patty melt which was very good! Salads are fresh and excellent taste!
We are staying in the LaBelle area and have passed Buckingham Farms a few times, mainly when they are closed, en route to another part of town. Tired and hot from a morning hike with the dogs, we made a spur of the moment decision to stop in. Very friendly and welcoming staff, we selected a table on their shady terrace with a gentle breeze and a view over their growing produce. The dogs were given drinks (and petted) long before we even decided on our food! Excellent food, we had the tuna melt and crab cake salad, the fresh lettuce and tomatoes reminded me of the home grown ones of my childhood. Great operation, everything runs smoothly ... don't miss browsing through their store. We will be back!!
We didn't eat here today we just stopped in to check out the tortoise. And all of the modern vegetable gardening.
great brunch, everything nice and fresh
Awesome breakfast sandwich. Homemade biscuit is great. Also is a country store with some unique and quality provisions.
We found this place by using Google. ABSOLUTELY a great find! Their lunch menu had many choices and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Staff was amazing! We had the patty melt and chefs daily special which was pan cooked flounder and dirty rice which both were out of this world good not to mention a great house white wine! Price for 2 glasses of vino and the meals were under $50 excluding tip. The grounds were beautiful as well. Definitely worth a visit. We will be back to try the breakfast next time which also looked amazing.
Hubby took me and my parents here for the 1st time. B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l placeYou order food at counter and they give you a buzzard thing. When that goes off, you take it to the back and pick up your DELICIOUS food. I was so shocked how great the food presentation was, tasted yummy, serving size is HUGE. Well worth it. They have Pepsi products. They also have what looked to be a wedding ceremony area out back. They sell fudge, honey and they literally have a farm that you can purchase fresh locally grown veggies from. Will definitely be going back. Wish they were open on Sundays.
Paid $25 for the crab cake entree for lunch. After waiting 30 minutes, I inquired and clearly my ticket got lost or something. They didn't say that, of course. Then, 6 minutes later my entree comes out but now I'm a to go box that I had to eat in my car because now I'm late for an appt. When I get to my car and take the first bite. It was clearly on the flat top for a couple if minutes. Nice crust, but uncooked crab mush with a bunch of peppers and celery. Ability was pretty good, but not good enough to warrant a $25 uncooked crab paste and filler cakes. I used to love this place too. Farm looks terrific but I miss the store. It feels more like just a big restaurant now instead of a farm/farmer's market with great food.
