Now, I'm not one to leave a poor review. However, the service we received last night was simply unacceptable. Food was decent but let's talk basic professionalism.First, our server Juliet initially forgot, yes she forgot and even admitted to 2 members of our party of 5 that she forgot to put the order into the kitchen. We understand mistakes happen so we did not make a scene, we waited patiently for them to get their entrees. However, she then double charged for the Loma Saltado. We did not notice until the day after, so yes, perhaps the oversight was on us...but seriously..first our order was forgotten, then we were double charged??Second, my buddy ordered another Stella after his first. Juliet said "no", which we thought was a joke, but then she truly did not bring the second beer out.Third, when another lady in our party asked for a togo box, she also said "no"...imagine our surprise when she actually brought the box for us given our experience with the beers...And finally, we were not looking for any compensation at all for the initially botched order of entrees, or an apology for her attitude about the beer and take out box...but then we were hit with a 20% gratuity. 20% for that?! I mean seriously...I'm not someone who's salty but I believe anyone in our situation has the right to be upset. We were overcharged, provided sub-par service with an attitude, but at least the calamari was decent.I would recommend this place, but maybe as a take out spot, like a local diner - but a dining experience of over $200...this is not it, at least not from our experience.
Our family of 5 dined there last night. Two of us weren’t happy with our cocktails. My mojito tasted like an extremely sour lemonade w/o rum. My sisters drink was very weak. My wife & I ordered 2 fish dishes (a mahi and a snapper). Both were plated with the wrong sides so we were tasked with moving fish & sauces and a side from 1 plate to another. To summarize; our dining experience was not very enjoyable and when we left we all agreed we wouldn’t be going back. This was not the kind of experience one should have when paying good money for drinks & food. We were there a couple times a few years ago and it was a much better experience so something changed. Hopefully they can fix their issues.
This is a great little restaurant if you're ever in the area or waiting on a show at the performing arts. The food was amazing and the Jalapeno Infused Margarita is absolutely spot on.
Julie is the best server! She's such a sweetheart. The ambience is nice and the food is good, but she's made my experiences there so pleasant. Wish her all the best.
The pork chops and may potatoes weren't that special.. sangria medium in taste.. but the fact that it's a good combo with broward theatre.. it was worth it!
We just had a large family luncheon at The Chimney House last weekend. They accommodated every one of our requests including seating and timing. The service was friendly and the food delish. Their private parking lot is right across the street, very convenient for the downtown area. I recommend making reservations, since the good word is out about this gem.
Really convenient restaurant around the corner from the Broward Center which is the best thing about it. Unfortunately the food was substandard and waitresses I searching where to put the food… “Is this ropa”? Onto the next table… “Is this your ropa. Vieja”? I didn’t enjoy their pork belly appetizer we left half of it… And I didn’t enjoy they are panseared snapper and lime sauce. Very disappointing experience at a beautiful looking restaurant
The host of this restaurant made us feel welcome, even before we arrived. Service was very good. Empenadas and main dishes were very good, and served fast. Dining on the outdoor patio on a cool January evening was very pleasant. I will recommend this restaurant to my friends.
When this place just opened few years ago I tried it out and the Latin dishes were not good at all so today I decided to give the place another chance and here is my experience: We entered the place and no greetings from the host just where do you want to seat and we choose an outdoor table, I was provided with a nasty paper menu which I believe was not a good thing, especially in an eating establishment and with the virus that is going on right now. I order coffee and noticed that the cup and the milk container were filthy ☹️ After the server served the coffee went away and took his sweet time to come back and ask if we were ready, at that point I choose to pay just for the coffee and ask the server for the check and again he went away and did not come back with the check, so I had to ask another server for the price of the coffee so I can pay cash and leave the place. This was the second and last chance I gave to this restaurant, I would not recommend it to any one who likes to eat in restaurants that takes hygiene as a top priority.
I can't understand how anyone would give this place 5 stars. It is very average restaurant. Average service, average food, average drinks and average location and ambience.I would not come back here. 2ay better options. The food is just OK. At least they could have had excellent service, but that didn't happen either.
