Ordered lunch to pick up. I tried to order the day before, but was told no. I placed my order at 11am. 11 lunches (split between 3 items) and 12 egg rolls. I was told it would be ready at 11:30. I finally received it just after 12. There was 1 table of 2 and 1 at the bat dining. There were 2 pick up orders ready before mine- I saw no one else. I asked the gal at the counter if she would please check on my order as this was for lunch- and they only get a few minutes to eat. She just responded that it would be a few minutes. I asked again after 15 minutes. She said it would be another 10 minutes because of the egg rolls. I told her to cancel the darn egg rolls and give me my order. She then decided it wasn’t the egg rolls. The food was good, but if you can’t get an order of THAI food out in 30 minutes, you’ve got some bad problems in the restaurant. It’s not like we ordered off the menu or a bunch of different things- just three different ordinary chicken dishes. All to be ready for pick up in 30 minutes. But took an hour. Shameful. I wish I could get the prepaid tip refunded.
Excellent Thai Food! Service was OK! Drinks at $20 a pop are over-priced. Parking is not clearly designated. Overall though, we enjoyed our dishes, and may visit again, but only for the food.
Three of us dined at Thai Spice. The dining room had jazzy live music that seemed a bit loud so we at outside. While that was quiet, the only outside table large enough for 3 available was sort of around the corner in what is almost a side passage. Not that nice. A nicer one was available but reserved. We had made a reservation but if you want one of the good outdoor tables make that clear in your reservation because there aren't that many. The food was a much better story. Between us we had seafood spring rolls (the fresh kind, not fried) and grilled shrimps for appetizers, then the Thai seafood salad, seafood red curry, and the "Three Buddies" (chicken, shrimp, scallops in basil chili garlic sauce). And some Thai beers all around. Food was good enough to forget about the lousy seating. It was not inexpensive, about $50 per person all in, but appropriate for the quality.
Amazingly upscale venue with a matching price tag. I had the fresh red snapper served with roasted broccoli ? and rice ?. The flavor of the snapper was matched by the sheer size of the whole fish itself. It was about 18 inches in length and overlapped the long the plate on both ends. My friend had the Chilean Sea Bass which was a much smaller portion than anticipated but made up for it in taste. We ordered Crab Rangoon ? which came served with a Dijon mustard sauce and a honey based dipping sauce. The drinks were delicious!
Every time we travel to Ft. Lauderdale, we always dine at Thai Spice first. We love the atmosphere, the delicious food, the drinks, and everything about our experience there. It is a must on our travel itinerary.
Some of my favorite place!!! So delicious! But on the top Siam Duck! It is so delicious! Nice people! I love to go there on Friday because in the live music. With great atmosphere and so delicious kitchen!!!P.s. drinks also cool!
I love this place! Their food is wonderful! Whenever we are in this part of Florida, we now make it a point to do lunch. We had lunch there again yesterday with a friend - it never disappoints! And, our friend felt the same; it was his first time there and is a fan! Why... because the quality of the food is excellent - always fresh, nice size portions, and service is wonderful too. We had Chad yesterday - first time. He is the best so far - even though he forgot to back my soup with the leftover.... If you like Thai - give Thai Spice a try - you will be happy you did. And, I also noticed Groupon coupons... check it out.
First, the atmosphere is almost anti-Thai... harkens back to tacky Polynesian restaurants. And I highly doubt there is a single Thai person in the kitchen because the menu and food are way more bland than other Thai restaurants I have been to. I have no idea how they have won any awards... clearly they are better at marketing than cooking.
My husband and I had read the reviews regarding Thai Spice and overall , they were very positive. There will always be a few disgruntled customers in any kind of service. We were not disappointed. Our spring rolls were crispy , well filled with veggies, and simply delicious. Ourr chicken curry dish was flavourful and our veggie rice dish had lots of vegetables . The rice was cooked to perfection. Our waiter, Chad, was awesome. He was helpful in suggesting dishes that would be mild to our liking and he was attentive in every way. Another person was quick to clear our plates when finished and keep our water glass filled. You can’t ask for better food and service!
Have ordered from this restaurant for years and given them tons of business and hard earned money! Noticed in the past few years the quality seemed to be going down, but still gave them the benefit of the doubt and the food was generally consistent and good. As of late, the service and quality has deteriorated even further. On several occasions the orders were wrong and/or completely missing half of the order. This is UNACCEPTABLE especially after waiting 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours for delivery! If you want your order hot, CORRECT, and in a timely manner....this is NOT the restaurant for you! If you are hypoglycemic or diabetic or expecting top-notch service, this is also NOT for you! If you don't mind your order delivered wrong, missing things, incorrect, cold, and waiting for several hours to ascertain that you have not received the correct order or a complete order....then this is the perfect establishment for you! I will 100% never give this restaurant another dime of my money or waste my time. I have given numerous chances to this place, but NEVER again! ***Customer Beware*** Save yourself the time, money, and aggravation and go elsewhere!*UPDATE* In response to the owner: I DID NOT USE AN OUTSIDE DELIVERY SERVICE! THIS WAS "YOUR" DELIVERY SERVICE/delivery services (delivery within 5 miles)! I called directly to your establishment and used your delivery person.
