OB House Breakfast is an absolute breakfast delight. Extremely Covid friendly - but the service is amazing, the seating is shaded and the food is absolutely tasty, pancakes like you’ve never had before and the homemade biscuits… wow.Make sure to tell Marvin hello, he’s a wonderful host.
Phenomenal experience. From the seating host to the severs everyone here has great energy. Then you get the food and it takes it over the top! We got the biscuits and gravy along with a strawberry pancake for the table, savory hearty food that with keep you satisfied all day. We will be returning here for all of our Florida vacations.
I just walked out from this a few moments ago and my opinion is that this restaurant is really overestimated. I don’t understand how it’s so highly evaluated. It’s a different experience, feels like a picnic, all the tables on the outdoor, the food comes in a basket and the only toilet is also outdoors. The attendant was very friendly, he told us the oven baked pancakes and biscuit sandwiches were the favorite dishes so we went for them.Unfortunately the food was very plain, unseasoned, I could feel the flavor of flour on the sandwiches, nothing that justifies the price, on the contrary. Overpriced to say at least. Maybe it just doesn’t fit my needs, but I wasn’t happy to pay $136 for a breakfast for 4 adults and 2 kids and leave disappointed.
We were in Fort Lauderdale for the weekend and decided to try OB House for breakfast. This was one of the worst experiences we’ve had at a restaurant. The server was very nice, but when I requested an adjustment to my order because of a medical condition, we were told that the kitchen does things their way. I wasn’t asking because I didn’t like something, I needed everything cooked for health reasons. They don’t take requests to cook food thoroughly. I settled on a breakfast sandwich which was less than enjoyable. It came on VERY THICK 2 inch bread and 1 of the slices was the crust. My husband’s meal was a skillet hash that was not as expected. You order on a mobile website from the table, have to pay the tip in advance, and the food comes out in a foil container. My sandwich came in a bag and there were no plates. Oddly enough, they had real silverware rolled up in a napkin. I wouldn’t have minded being able to cut my sandwich, but I had no plate in which to cut it on. The food was very expensive and was mediocre. Also, there is a Port a Potty for the restroom, but you are not allowed to make a solid waste deposit. Refer to pictures. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They do it their way and are not there to make customers satisfied. Do not make any requests because they are not allowed. When we return to Fort Lauderdale, this is one place we will be sure to avoid.
Kristopher (with a K) is the man! He was very nice, he explained the menu very well. He made amazing suggestions and they tasted amazing. This place truly is one of a kind!At first we were a little confused because the pancakes were $20..... But once we received the pancake we understood why. Probably One of the best pancakes I've ever had. We had a banana pecan pancake which can feed two to three people and also had a Belgium white chocolate pancake. The biscuits and gravy were heavenly. All the biscuits and pancakes were made in the stone oven and you can tell the quality. I had the "add the ham" sandwich obviously on the homemade biscuit and it was phenomenal. The ham was delicious, the cheese was melted perfectly, and the egg was free range egg and it was delicious. The orange juice is fresh squeezed, Yes you're paying $9 for it but I know exactly what a fresh squeeze orange tastes like from Florida because I grew up here, And that's exactly what it was... Squeezed to order. Sangria was really good, It was crisp and bright! The atmosphere is phenomenal. The owner converted the parking lot during the pandemic to a serene and beautiful porch garden environment. On the perfect day, this is the perfect place to have breakfast. Kris was such a sweetheart and he gave us chocolate chip cookies to go!We came from Orlando to celebrate my mom's birthday and this was the best breakfast spot I've had in a long time. I will be coming back!
This place is really yummy. I am not sure why they don’t offer inside seating anymore? It’s too hot year round. They built a really beautiful courtyard with tables. There was entirely too much waste. They have a dishwasher I’m not sure why they serve everything in tinfoil and paper. Also it says no tipping online but then you have to place your order through an app and it suggests tipping. Very confusing
This place was absolutely amazing! The staff were super nice! The food, I don't even have words to describe how good it was. It is 110% worth it! An absolute must try! 20/10 recommend! If I could Give more stars I would!
A new discovery for us and recommended by Asheville neighbors. Walking distance from our winter residence along the New River Riverwalk near the Performing Arts Center and Discovery Museum. Interesting concept and fun. Order and pay on your phone. Geraldine and Chris were super in explaining the concept and delivering the delicious food. Extensive menu of expertly prepared breakfast and lunch items served piping hot. Their oven baked pancakes are their signature item and shouldn’t be missed. Tasty biscuits and strawberry jam. Cheesy grits are amazing. Great black beans. Perfectly prepared Omelettes and poached eggs. All outdoor dining.
The biscuits are heavenly and the atmosphere is so relaxing eating outside in the garden. Our go to breakfast spot when you are in Fort Lauderdale. Loved our waitress Geraldine and waiter excellent service throughout. Also had to make friends with some earthly friends. My apologies the good and conversation was so good we forgot to take a pic.
Make sure you have a debit/credit card when you come here, they don't take cash. It's a bakery, and everything is fresh. But ordering is ALWAYS a hassle. Of course fresh made food takes time - but they could do a LOT better with the ordering. If you don't have a card, you can use Apple Pay but you have to order on a third party website, of which there are two options - not direct through the restaurant. If you dine in there's a very cute picnic area, but be aware they will serve your food to go! They wrap it to go, throw it in foil, throw it in a basket and drop the basket on your table. Last time we dined in with a group, it took over an hour and a half, to have sandwiches. If you come here, you will want to order the food for pick up, because they're going to serve it to go anyway. Do not wait until you get here to order, you will waste a lot of time, and be starving standing there staring at their delicious baked goods, while the staff mostly ignore you. If you happen to catch their attention they will frown at you for not having it together. If you're sweet they will answer questions but you can tell they don't want to. This is because it's a hip joint, and they're used to doing TO GO orders. The food is probably four stars, but I can never gain access to this wonderful tease.
