We were staying in hotel across the street and decided to give this place a try. It was a challenge to get there but well worth it. The food was good, the portion was enough for two and the service was good. Needless to say we were all pleasantly surprised.
The food was delicious! We could not get over how tasty the falafel, hummus, and baklava were! I ordered a special, an Egyptian comfort food dish: very good. Our waiter, Joey Cuban, was marvelous: friendly and attentive. Don’t be fooled by the size…the flavors are mighty!
Excellent middle eastern food at a decent price. A hidden little gem in a strip mall just inside the Fort Lauderdale city limits.
This is the best Mediterranean restaurant I’ve been to in a while in the US! Kudos to Joseph because he was simply wonderful, service tends to suck in Miami, but he was attentive and a sweetheart. I had the lamb and upon Joseph’s recommendation the couscous and wow! My mom had the veggie plate and she it ate it all, which is something she rarely does because she is super picky with food! I’m definitely going back with my mom. Also, they have military discount which is a plus since I’m in the military.
Feels like having a meal with family. Great selection and all four meals we had were delicious. The Hummus was worldclass and the fresh pita bread is unmatched . Friendly staff and wonderful service.
Had lunch here. It is small restaurant with small tables inside and out.it really reminded me of being in restaurants/bistros in Europe. I had the chicken shwarma on pita and wife had gyro. We also had an Israeli couscous salad that had walnuts, dates, golden raisins with pomegranate molasses olive oil dressing. The meal was hearty and more than enough food.
Wow. The food is delicious and fresh. We had falafel hummus pita wraps and more. Everything was perfect. Restaurant is very casual in a strip mall type setting. Don’t let that fool you. It’s wonderful.
Absolutely delicious, made to order food! And we had just stepped off a cruise with good food there also. It was a pleasure to find equally excellent food at Mini Pita!
Food was good, quick and the help were very friendly. This establishment was within walking distance to our hotel so after a long day’s ride in our car, we decided to go someplace where we could walk from our hotel.
My husband and I were staying across the street and were excited to see a Greek restaurant. We have been wanting to try an authentic place for a while now. You can tell it is pretty authentic when you walk in, just a few tables and chairs and a open kitchen you can watch the food being made right in front of you. A ton of food to go orders of people stopping in to pick up their orders. We did a combo of a gyro which was mixed rotisserie of beef and lamb as well as chicken shawarma which was marinated shredded chicken breast. Of the two, we liked the chicken shawarma the best - we would recommend that. With the entree, it was served with middle eastern salad or cucumbers and tomatoes, rice pilaf and we chose a side of pita bread. The pita bread was great, we should have ordered an extra side since there was two of us.We really enjoyed and food and it motivated us to learn to cook greek food! I would highly recommend this restaurant :)
