My husband and I were driving around and we came across this restaurant. It was so cool. When you get there they hand you a menu and you pick your appetizers, soup, and protein. They have a little robot that brings your food for you to cook at the table. They have hot pots with your soup that you picked and that’s where you can cook your meat or vegetables. They have many items to choose from. My husband ordered the steak and lamb with vegetables to mix in. The meat comes very thinly sliced so it’s easier to cook. I ordered chicken and I attempted to cook some slices on the mini griddle. I found out it was a lot easier to put it in my soup lol. But overall it was definitely a cool experience!

This was our second time trying hot pot. The first time was years ago, and wasn’t an experience. This was an experience! Your food is delivered by a robot. Everyone’s heads turned when the robot came out. Sorry geeking out. Our waiter was attentive and amazing. When we selected our items, I was sure we’d order again. But we struggled to finish our meal. We did both the bbq and hotpot. The gilled sweet potatoes were my favorite. I had so much fun trying different sauces. You really should check this place out. You won’t be disappointed
Great experience.Plenty of meat options. We got the K BBQ and hot pot. Everything was priced very well.They did not have plenty of sides for BBQ- but the ones they had tasted very well.They were so many sides for hotpot. We got plenty of vegetables, meat- chicken, fish , seafood, steak & pork. There were also a make your own sauce bar with a few different broths to select from.Overall great experience.

Great experience dining!The combination of the hot pot and BBQ is what got me interested and it was perfect.Service was friendly and fast.The face of my dad when the robot came to our table was worth taking the chance on a new place so close to our house.A true hidden gem in our neighborhood.Recommendation: Ask your server to make for you the sauce plate if it's your first time.
WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!If you are looking for a different pace while dinning Mater Ba’s Hotpot is the place! They have BOTS! Robots! ?First time going to a Hotpot location and I am very happy with my experience.It is all you can eat so expect to pay between $30-$40 per person. In my perception it’s well worth it as the quality of the meat and vegetables were so fresh a great portioned! We had 2 rounds of protein plenty of appetizers!Very clean, very efficient, and time friendly.As you order from a live server, by the time they get to the back there is a cool bot ? that brings out your selections.I will definitely be back.Great for date night!
The place is clean. The service are quick. You can do hot pot or hotpot and barbecue. The fun part is a robot will serve what you ordered. They have a sauce station and ice cream for dessert. They have different choices for soup base. You will be given a menu to chose for your hot pot. A must try.
I was so excited when I heard another hot pot place was opening in the area, especially one with a cute little robot! Unfortunately they didn’t honor my Groupon since it was Valentines Day (even though the fine print only states it must be used Monday-Thursday). I had the tomato broth (vegetarian) and my boyfriend had the tom yum, we both loved them. They had a pretty good variety of veggies and noodles, but were out of a few things despite just opening. The sauce bar was pretty expansive, but didn’t have much of a shield or gloves to protect from any germs, which seems pretty important during the times of COVID. The table next to us asked what the sauces were for, it seems like staff didn't do a good job educating customers on how hot pot works or even that a sauce bar existed. While the robot is a cute gimmick, I think the restaurant relies too heavily on it as there were only two people working while we were there. It took half an hour for me to get my water refilled. Overall, I think I’d be back if I was hungry and in the area, but there are better hot pot places for a better price and better service.
We had a great time with very tasty food. Prices are reasonable and service is good. Clean and nice atmosphere. Parking is a little difficult, bring coins for the meter or download the Paybyphone app. Also there were 1 or 2 items on the menu they were out of. Look forward to returning to Master Ba's in the future.
