I was hesitating how many stars to give…Heard from friends about the place and was exited to visit it, especially with my Dominican BF :)Online booking was easy, we drove from Miami, hostess was nice and friendly. Our server was Mary, nice and friendly as well. The place is really cool with their design and flowers wall and paintings. The IPad menu is colorful with pics which is super helpful. The issue we had was LONG BLACK HAIR in main course (we ordered salmon with black rice). For 5 years living in Miami, the same happened to me once, by the end of lunch that restaurant replaced and comped the dish ( which is ?).This time neither manager nor supervisor were there (according to hostess). Don’t know who took the decision, but guys, we were discounted only $3 and free maracuja juice (probably $5-7)!!! Really, I was surprised. Table next to us with a nice couple asked us what was done to make us come back, since they saw my BF pulling out that loooong hair out of rice. They were shocked by the discount. They told us that also run restaurant business. My BF and I were super chill and in a good mood that day, we didn’t want to fight or anything like that.Hopefully management read this and reviews their policy for such situations, to make customer happy and willing to refer the place and to come back!!

The food and ambiance of this place was very nice. I had the pollo mofongo and my bf had the crab stuffed salmon. Our waiter was Hugo, and he did a great job in making sure we had a good experience and was very attentive. 4 stars because the cocktails were watered down in our opinion

Recommend! What a surprise and delight this place was. Came here with some friends for dinner. Food was amazing! Vibe was good - turns into a party/lounge scene as it gets later. Service was awesome, super friendly. Restaurant itself is nice, good outdoor dining area and well decorated inside. Music is on point - made me feel like I was in DR.

Great food & service! The empanadas trio appetizer was very tasty. The drinks were refreshing, we had the coconut mojito and mamajuana sangria. Entrées were Pollo Criollo and the mamajuana roll which were very delicious. We would definitely recommend you try it!

On Saturday April 23, I decided to give this new place a try and these are my findings:1. The place decor is beautiful particularly the tropical arrangements at the entrance, the wall full of tropical flowers and and the wall with orchids in glass vase, clearly was done by a professional florist, the bar needs some work it looks too boring in comparison with the rest of the place. The ? in the main dining are to bright for the scene and are very harsh for my eyes needs to be softer or is just they are the wrong lights.2. The service needs some work, I believe the servers need some more training. I was told that it was the grand opening and they were new, and that was the reason of why everything that they have available was not on the menu and they have no professional coffee machine , they still manage to do make regular coffee for us and served it on a expresso cup, I did not see any soft drinks on the menu and the server did not mention anything about it, when I asked I was told that it was the grand opening and that was the reason why they were missing in the menu , however the server mention they were online, (the drinks menu is not available online to date 4/24/2022)2. Appetizers: I order the aguacate majao and the presentation was on point, however I would suggest to the chef to serve freshly made guacamole instead of serving pre-made as I’m sure you know , refrigerated guacamole change color and taste just like the one we buy at the grocery store. Also make sure the crispy yucca chips are freshly fried as the one I received were a bit stale and even a piece of hard plantain was in the mix, so I would suggest to pay the same attention paid on the presentation as on the quality.3. Main Dishes: I was very surprised that they have vegetarian options ? I ordered vegan salmon and meatballs, again the presentation was right on point ? and the taste was good, I would suggest to offer impossible meatballs as they more consistent and not as mushy as the one made of lentil. I have to point out that only 2 parties were at that time and the food took way too long and have no idea why.4. There is plenty of parking, and no valet.5. I’m sure at night the vibe is different and you might have a different experience, also be aware that guest smoke Hookahs in the main dining room, as I saw the other party smoking.6. I would come back with some friends so they can try the meat dishes, and if you want to try it go ahead is much better than la bamba restaurant. I would consider this place a tropical vibe high end Latin cuisine.7. Suggestion for the owners or brand management: since your place is a high end I would suggest to take a second look at the servers outfit, they dress like any low-end Latin restaurant or places like we Latin people call barras.

Great service and very attentive staff altogether.. food was delicious. I had the mofongo and the Churrasco steak!! Great ambiance and place was beautiful.

Do not pass this high energy, modern, cozy place with plenty of outdoor seating. Maddy is confident & her knowledge of the menu is impeccable. We had 3 unique delicious selections (below) & a coconut Mojito and shared chocolate carmel lava cake - YUUUUMMMMMMYYYUY.

Ok so..I had a lovely dinner here..The place is beautiful great for pics and friendly staff..My husband ordered the steak no complaints and I had the Lobster and Shrimp mofongo.beautiful presentation but for being the most expensive Monfongo there I was expecting alot more..the flavor was not there..the sause tastes like a creamy Ragu sause.. tastes very regular, and the plantain were too chunky...other than that..appetizers were yummy..drinks were also on point..just alittle adjustments for the flavor..this was a cool spot

WOW!!!! My work team and I (group of 5) are from all over the country, we’re here visiting for the weekend. Absolutely delicious food. Authentic, flavorful, and such hospitable service. We are sort of a needy group and the staff was so accommodating. 10/10 on the food, super fun environment in the evening as well high energy and great music, highly recommend!!

Sunday Fun day at Mamajuana! Wow! When you come here ask for Nancy she's the best. She's very attentive, nice, and great attitude. I will definitely be coming back because of her! My friend recommended this place and didn't disappoint.
