I ordered the chicken tacos and fries. My waitress was outstanding! She was friendly and attentive. The food however was not so good the tacos dripped of grease and the chicken tasted like it was 48 hours old and warmed up to serve. I did not finish the third of three tacos not because I was full but because I couldn't stomach the rest .
Waited over 15 TO TAKE AN ORDER only to be forced to go inside and speak to the bartender since there was no one helping me on the floor. waited ANOTHER 25 minutes for my food to come only for the wings to be overcooked and dry. Please don’t come here for food theres a burger place right next to it thats way better. wont be spending my money here.
Worst service ever. I was excited to try this place after seeing it on my connecting flight. When I was seated at the bar the bar tender ignored my two attempts to get a menu as did two other servers. I waited for over 15 minutes and no one even spoke. The restaurant is not busy. I gladly went to Whiskey River where I was greeted as soon as I got to the bar.
Stale chips and too sweet margs overshadow the tasty wings!Great service though!Update: the check came… $18 per margarita. Horrifying. Also, beware, they add 18% gratuity no matter what then bring you a check with a gratuity line.
Highly recommend the battered fish tacos! The carnitas (marinated pork) was so tender and tasty!! Unfortunately we ate them so fast I didn't have time for a picture!Great sit-down place while waiting for your flight. Rich was attentive even though he was very busy.Short menu. Great service! (Service charge included.)
If I could give this place a 0 star, I would. Please do yourself and your wallet a favor and do not go here. All I wanted was a margarita plus some chips and salsa at a what seemed like a Mexican restaurant. After 7:30pm, your only choice of food is wings and fries. Neither of which is Mexican so I ended up not getting food. Instead, I decided to order a margarita, which seemed safe. But, I should have seen the warning signs when they told me they can only do a lime margarita on the rocks, there was no Mexican food available and very few happy customers/reviews. Of course, I didn't see the signs so I ended up getting the lime margarita on the rocks. The drink came mostly full of ice and just average. Then when I looked around, they were cleaning up and putting chairs away which indicated that they were closing. So, I had my 1 margarita and asked for the bill. Well, the bill came and the 1 drink cost me $17.49 plus an automatic 18% gratuity! There was no service that warrants an 18% gratuity and $17.49 for an ice full of drink is a rip off even for the airport! When I complained to the server about the 18%, he left to talk to the manager and came back and said there was nothing he could do about it. However, after looking at the bill, it says this could be removed but it looks like the only way to remove it is to talk to the server/manager which I did!The person who deserved my 18% gratuity was the lady at Auntie Anne who made me a fresh almond pretzel even though she was closing for the night! If you go to this airport, go to Auntie Anne for an almond pretzel ($5.25) and just order a drink on the plane.
Nobody at the to go counter, so I asked if I could order at the bar and they tack on an automatic 18% gratuity
My son was at the La Familia Tacos & Tequila in FLL airport and was literally denied seating at the bar despite adequate social distancing at that empty chair in the posted picture. As a result he had to walk back to try to find another restaurant. This is ridiculous! Very poor customer service and lazy bartender.
The chips and dip came out in foam cups and none of it was good. The guacamole reminded me of Walmart guacamole. The salsa reminded me of aldi salsa. We found a nice slimy chunk of burnt queso in our queso it was also trash. The margaritas are 100% just pre-made bottled margaritas with well tequila ($17.99). There is 18% gratuity automatically added to your bill without allowing you to reduce it. This place is a total scam. GO TO MARGARITAVILLE. ITS WAY BETTER AND YOU PASSED IT ON THE WAY TO THIS JOKE OF A RESTAURANT.
Margaritas and wings were very good. Chicken tacos were wet. That's the best I can explain it. Good flavor but wet. Our server Kevin did a great job.
