I used to love this place when the old man, his sister, wife was there. Went today it was awful ordered sweet and sour chicken the chicken was cooked in brunt grease, no vegetables, fried rice was gummy stuck together!!! AWFUL $8.00 I threw in the garage!!!
Golden Rice Bowl used to be my absolute FAVORITE Chinese restaurant. I’ve been going there for over 20 years and always raved about it. Today was my first time having it in a very long time. I’m sad to say that I’m very disappointed. The food tasted “old” and was almost flavorless. The fried rice is a complete joke and the noodles tasted like they were left out for a long time. Golden Rice Bowl used to be FANTASTIC. Now? I Don’t think I will ever return. Very disappointing.

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years and Im so sad to say no more . I could taste that it had a different chef . It was awful! the sauce is now gooey like when u put cornstarch to thicken up the sauce and that was the very main reason I loved this place because before they didn’t do that ! it was the real natural taste and flavor of the ingredients. Now I have to search for another Chinese restaurant. So so sad . Obviously the business was doing well for a reason . Why touch someone thing that was already so good ?
I like this place. Food is good but the place is not conducive for dine in! Tried to but I had to leave. Inside was so hot and not that clean!
I hate to give really bad reviews, because the guys were nice and I know bad reviews can ruin a business, but they really need to evaluate the quality of their food. The fried rice was the worst I've ever tasted in my life. And the chicken was undercooked. I threw it all away. I really hope they improve, because from what I read the previous owners ran a really quality restaurant. Good luck guys.

OMG, I miss Kim and Nan. There will never be another Chinese restaurant that can compare. Kim cooked for me for almost 30 years. Bless them in there retirement. I thought he was going to give it to his nephew. Gosh how we miss them.

I’m so sad about the retirement of the old owners, my family & I have been eating here for years, literally the only Chinese restaurant we would patronize because the food was just that good. It’s sad to think it will never be the same. The old owners knew their customers, we would walk in & they would know our order. Down to knowing our voice. Over 20 years going here. Truly miss the old owners. The new cooks/owners have commercialized everything, it tastes just like any other fast food Chinese hole in the wall.
