The Best Barbecue food in South Florida, Florida, and possibly the U S. My meal tonight was superb. The St Louis Ribs were very meaty, the Brisket of beef was tender and cooked to perfection. Grandma’s Collard Greens are out of this world and the Baked beans hit the spot. Let’s not forget about their homemade Traditional Barbecue Sauce perfect barbecue sauce for the meal.
Ate here a couple of times over the F1 weekend after seeing great reviews before travelling from Australia, wasn’t disappointed. Great food, friendly staff ?
Was recommended Fat Boyz a while back and finally made it out. Glad we did! We were there on a Sunday afternoon and it was not crowded which was nice.This BBQ reminds me of East Texas style BBQ mixed with Southern. There are some good beef options and the sauce is thicker and on the sweet side. While I only got beef on this visit, the menu has a lot of pork and some chicken options as well.The burnt ends were fabulous. They had a great bark and they were moist as well. I would recommend getting these for sure. The brisket we ordered however was pretty mediocre and I’m not sure I would get it again. We requested “fatty” brisket but when the food came out it was most definitely lean slices. It also was pretty dry and oxidized. I needed bbq sauce to eat the brisket. A good brisket should not require any sauce. It’s as if it was cut in advance and dried out a bit. The smoke profile on both meats was pretty good but maybe a touch over the top. Perhaps a cleaner burn on the wood would yield slightly better flavor in my opinion. None the less it was very good.The sides options are numerous and quite good. Macaroni has a Smokey flavor in it and I really liked the baked beans. Not overly sweet but enough brown sugar and cinnamon flavor to be awesome. Corn nuggets and collard greens were also good.We will be coming back and I’ll be sure to update my review based on the pork.
Fantastic food and the manager is very friendly. Their sorry ribs were smoked beautifully and juicy, and their beef brisket is wonderful and tender. They don't sauce their meats which i like because you can enjoy the bbq smoked flavor without having any sauce inhibit it, but the sauces are good too. Cornbread isn't spicy not too sweet, and their collars greens and Mac n cheese are fantastic. Location is small but cozy enough and the smell will draw you in immediately. Try them ASAP.
This is unquestionably the best barbecue I have ever had and the service was outstanding; there was an extremely kind gentleman there, who I am assuming is the owner or manager, overseeing everything, and he and his employees are fantastic.I unfortunately live in New York and do not have the luxury of having this place nearby, however I will most certainly be back the next time I am visiting the Fort Lauderdale-area.Whether you are a local or a tourist, this is hands-down a top-quality establishment, and you will not want to miss out on eating here.
This place is truly in a class by itself...They do everything right from the portion size to the just-right seasonings of their meats. The collard greens are not over spiced and the other sides are very good also. Great prices and all served with a smile! The only issue may be that it's a good idea to call ahead to make sure they haven't sold out of a particular menu item... especially in regards to the burnt ends, which are the finest I've ever had, and I'm old! We can only hope this place doesn't become a victim of their own success!

Some of the BEST smoked brisket I’ve ever had. Do good we ordered a second round to go before we left.The bbq sauce was good, and the Carolina sauce was really good. I’ve never had it before.The smoked mac and cheese was excellent and the baked beans… distinctive, delicious flavor unlike any baked beans I’ve had before.The lemonade on tap was really good too.Unfortunately they were out of corn nuggets so we didn’t get to try those.And the bananas in the banana pudding went bad. But they were kind and gracious and gave us an appropriate refund.They were slow taking our order, but it’s hard to find anywhere that is fully staffed these days.The wait was worth it in the end
The food was okay, enjoyed the sides more than the meat… probably won’t be back very expensive food not worth the price but it filled my stomach for that moment. I love bbq Just not theirs I know bbq! Anyhow food is just ok. As I said before sides are tasty. didn’t finish the ribs.
They were out of brisket which was a bummer, but the recommended St Louis Ribs w/ Memphis BBQ was out of this world. Mac n Cheese was seriously good too. Pretty sure this is better than my previous favorite BBQ place in North Carolina where I go to school. Highly recommended! Great food, great people, great place!
