The place itself looks very bad. Outside you can see electrical cables coming down from the top all the way to the front of the restaurant, there is caution tape and basically the entrance looks like is being rebuilt and so not welcoming. We entered and al the workers seem to be bothered and not caring of the business, especially the girls at the reception. The place smells of alcohol, not sure if some drink fell and was never cleaned but it smelt for the whole dinner. The AC system was dripping water and we were just below. Positive thing was the food and Christian our waiter which was outstanding however these thing are definitely not enough for us to go back to this place. Outside the restaurant is also super dark and may not be their fault but you can’t see absolutely anything and it looks unsafe.

My wife had a glass separate from the top and bottom. The frozen cocktail spilled all over my wife’s light pink shirt and polkadot shorts. I would not have complained if the server had not had the audacity to tell me I did not tip him enough. That he accepts nothing less than 20 percent. He said it’s not his fault that I was served a broken glass. Don’t they inspect the glass before serving. I will not mention names but I will never step my foot at that restaurant again.

Booked the wrong time on accident and they fully accommodated without hesitation. Food has consistently been amazing. Service is over the top good. Restaurants this good don't usually stay on top as long as they have. El Vez is a all around great for any occasion.

Everyone and thing was amazing! Even management made sure several times everything was good! The best Mexican food and will not disappoint.

Great spot by the water, good drinks and food - attached to the W hotel

Very good portions. Excellent waitress! Would definitely recommend.

The food is pretty good, steak fajitas are really good and the guacamole hits the spot! The view is great during the day looking towards the Beach. Service can be a bit better. Overall a great spot.

We just love the Santana Guacamole. It’s fantastic. We all had different tacos and everyone enjoyed them. The Margaritas we really good too.

Great place to eat. Good food quality and service. I will definitely go again. Our waiter and restaurant manager checked on us multiple times to make sure we did not need anything.

In a city where Tex-Mex and Mexican is all around us, this restaurant offers food that is just different enough that it's worth making a visit. The seasoning and preparation of the food is the stand-out feature of this restaurant as is the service. Everything was hot and fresh and our server, Christian, was on top of it from start to finish. The waiting time for our order was reasonable and it wasn't overly crowded the evening that we visited. There was some lively music that was playing but it wasn't overwhelming. We were seated inside near the beach entrance but we never felt like we were in a high traffic area and the noise from the outdoor bar was minimal. I should add that the menu is not extensive nor are the portions excessive. Everything was just enough and it was satisfying. Keep in mind that this restaurant is across the street from the beach, so pricing will be higher than the "inland" locations. All in all, it was a very good experience. We'll be back again to try some other offerings.
