I had the breaded pork chops with black beans, he had the picadillo with rice and black beans and a lovely salad we shared. Great flavors and loved that the pork was moist and delicious even though the plate presentation didn’t suggest that would be true. I was delightfully surprised. We taste the flan and decided to bring it home to savor it. Yep that good. If ya love Latin food like we do it excellent for the price, and I have spent a ton of time in Puerto Rico.Really impressed with this place, the outside of the building is “meh” at best, but the inside is lovely! Ya, I was surprised. Quality Latin food if you love that like I do.I saw the last review about scamming tourists and I was like huh? Really, like anyone can get away with that with published menu prices? Maybe just drunk tourists waiting for their cruise and drank a lot? I really don’t understand the review? It’s good and reasonably priced.ValPs: it would have been 5 stars for the price but the waiter forgot to put our calamari order in and we got the salad first
Amazing food. The steak, spaghetti, tacos… all delicious. Their desert menu is top notch as well. Make sure to try their espresso with coconut flan cake, you won’t be disappointed.
BEWARE TOURISTS!THEY’LL TRY TO SCAM YOU!Whatever you do, do not order from the “SPECIALS” tablet! It’s exactly the same as in the regular menu and 3X the price! We visited 2 days in a row… one time we were charged $16 and the next day the same dish was $46.99.Check your bill! They over charged in every dish the second visit! We only noticed because we ordered exactly the same food!VERY DISAPPOINTED and will never visit again…. it sucks cuz the food was actually good ?♀️ but you can food good food without a bad experience anywhere in Fort Lauderdale
Excellent food and service. A real hidden gem. The pork is unbelievable and my mojito was wonderful too. Highly recommend.
Excellent meal x 3. Tasty food. We all had Latino based dishes. Quality and service was superb. Will be back hete next time in Ft Lauderdale. Staff were excellent. Walking distance to our Hotel which was a bonus. Ladies loved the wine happy hour. Don't miss this experience.
We came here 6 years ago, right before a cruise. We came back tonight and now we remember why!! We were greeted at the door by the owner, Lionel, who made it his priority to make sure we had the very BEST EXPERIENCE! The food here was fabulous - steak you could cut with a butter knife and seafood to die for! Ridiculously good flavors and such an enchanting ambiance! We'll definitely be back - and it won't take any 6 years. There are not many restaurants you can say, "Yep, It was just a good as I remember it! " This is one!
Tamarindo Café, located in Fort Lauderdale. This restaurant had also tasty dishes in their menu, I can’t mention any in particular because I like it all; affordable well ran by the Owner who is a great and friendly human being with a big sense of humor which makes the time you spent in the place so interested with the diversity of conversations that makes you feel like a home definitely.Service is prompt and well trained.Strongly recommend this place.Give it a try as well and let me know.CheersIván Varela
This restaurant was a surprise. We had an early dinner so there weren't many patrons at that time. We ordered frozen margaritas and the flavor was compact and delicious. The salads were excellent; fresh and flavorful. The grilled pork chop was flavorful and juicy. The steak & chicken combo were juicy and cooked correctly. It was a great choice for dinner.
Everything here was delicious , steak and Mariscada soup amazing. The coconut flan was absolutely magical very special much better than plain flanThe service was very quick and the owner was present he takes great pride in his restaurant providing a quality experience.
Such a disappointment!! Used to come here used years ago was the favorite restaurant. Food was just ok… I ordered the palomino steak and my husband ordered the pulled pork. Everything was extra and you had to ask for it… especially the bread and chimichurri… bummer for sure! They say you can never go home I guess that’s true for restaurants as well!
