I stumbled upon this place in 2020 during the pandemic when I found out my tried and true favorite Chinese place, Crazy Wok closed. I had to go to Office Depot and right next door to Office Depot there was East China. From the day forward, I haven’t been going anywhere else. It’s family owned, very very nice and professional. The chef is from NYC and cooks the best Chinese food I ever had. The Won Ton soup is the best I ever had. Better than Chinatown in NYC. The shrimp Lo Mein is to die for. I’ve ordered probably 1/4 of the menu and I keep going back for more! Yum!
It was great. They were helpful and the place had a positive atmosphere.
First time customer, but definitely will be returning here for ordering Chinese takeout...Everything was delicious and fresh! No old oils, or stale cooked over flavor!Neatly packaged. Amount served was satisfying. Quality over a tad less proportions in quantity is perfectly fine with me considering how great this was, it was a steal!Unfortunately it smelled so good, we dug right in and my usual photo op requirements went through the window. I grabbed a fork instead of the phone.
Food is soooooooo good. Idk why, probably MSG<3 But DAMMMMNNNN.
In a quest to find good Chinese food in the area (and as a former NYer it doesn't exist IMO) , I made the poor decision to try to this place. II had been here once before and found their brown sauce disgusting, but hey, that was years ago, could have had a bad cook, etc.Today, I tried their sesame tofu and the chicken curry. Chicken curry was good but the brown sauce for the tofu again too sweet, like nasty sugary. The tofu wasn't crispy but soggy like it was sitting too long.Ps. I asked for a menu and the man behind the counter attempted to hand it to me upside down so j wouldn't see/use the coupons on the front.Never going back
Delicious and I can't beat that it's within walking distance to my house. Consistently delicious food keeps me coming back.
Was a walk in, ordered the roast pork egg foo young lunch combo with pork fried rice and egg roll.. was told after placing my order that it would be 15 mins. Was less than 10 mins.! Food was hot and obviously fresh!! Got two large "cakes", plenty of rice and gravy!! Had one for lunch, was more than enough for the next day!! Gravy came on the side, thankfully, so not to get the "cakes" soggy.. Being from the NYC metro area, I know good Chinese food!! I'd say 7.5 - 8 out of 10!! Took a menu just in case, will go back when the craving hits again!!
For my money the best Chinese take-out in town. The food is always good - fresh with a nice balance of flavors - and the staff is always friendly.
My first time and the food was amazing will only go here from now on.Friendly owner and beautiful woman cook I assume the wife and family10 stars!!!
Googled best Egg Foo Young in Fort Lauderdale and East China came up. We just moved here from Seattle and have no idea yet what's good but I can tell you this was outstanding and so was the mu shu and fried rice.
