Tex Mex style food but with an added bar ambience. Located just off Las Olas Blvd at the heart of downtown. The portion size was fairly large and the food was good but not extraordinary. A couple of tables still had clutter from previous customers. You need to order at the counter and then the food is brought to the table
We rode our bikes here and sat at the outdoor bar. Bar tender was amazing and the food and drinks were just as amazing. The fish taco and shrimp taco are my jam.
Very Nice building but rushing the food makes it nasty, everything was bland no seasoning, tasted the grill residue and different meats they’ve already put on it for an older/new order, the bathroom was HORRIBLE, security was very respectful, responsive, the female spanish cashier told me i could change my drink because it was already taken outside for “here” and messed up our order having an attitude with is because the store had gotten more busy which wasnt my family/friends fault we were excited ! To sum it all up on the drinks are Okay, could’ve been better not so watered down add extra ice instead alcohol for a $9 margarita. I tipped only the man cashier personally gave him $30 tip, oh and got my car towed the parking INSANE drove around 4 times in wynwood just to try this place out just to pay $70 On only two tacos per meal which are tiny ?that weren’t tasty as i thought and drinks that watery and no parking smh but maybe goodluck those who go ‼️?
I was asked if I want the hand made margarita or something like Else ( I did not catch ) I responded two margaritas that are for free for happy hour .. I got an eye roll…the waitress tried to go by into defense mode after delivering when I questioned the eye roll… and it wasn’t worth arguing.. I said normally we would have ordered more food. However if you’re going to be rude we will notMy friends had a similar comment moments before my experience … something related to assuming they were drinking for free . It was a more obvious commentTwo weeks ago we went for ladies night for two drinks each and ordered a lot of foodAfter today we will not be back. We’re respectful. we tip well… .. yes even on free drinks: we would have ordered more foodHowever after two rude remarks and mannerisms we won’t be back..Whoever was working June 9 during ladies hour thanks but no thanks
Loved Coyo Taco when I lived in Miami so was excited to eat here at their first Ft Lauderdale location. This is one of the few fast casual places in downtown Las Olas area so liked that it’s a little cheaper than most sit down fare. The music was crazy loud inside and completely empty on Wednesday evening around 8:30pm. Ordering was a little confusing. Cashier didn’t seem to understand English well. Loud music didn’t help. Tables outside were nice. Tacos tasted great but were a little messy. Great tacos for a good price but a lot to improve.
Incredibly disappointed. I was excited to try this new location in Ft Laudy, but I was let down by the service. The location is great, but the service isn’t. The food is mediocre. The corn looked like it had been poured out of a can, it was watery and wet. The drinks took more than 10-12 minutes yet we were the only ones in the bar. They were nice, but slow. I don’t think I will return. We had a drink, the wet corn, left and went somewhere else for dinner.
O.M.G, I have found my new favorite taco shop! I am a lover of great food in general but tacos are at the top of my list… and let me tell you I was in my happy place, the flavors, the textures, the absolute perfection! Thank you Coyo for being you… perfect!
Was so excited that this location finally opened. We sat at the bar and waited patiently for the bartender to take our order. We only got out half of our order: two margaritas (they only have draft btw) then mid sentence before we can say the food items she turns away and asks the two girls next to us if they were ready to order and continues to take their order (they were not ready and had a bunch of questions) and then punches it in and continues with her shift and did not come back to us to take the rest of our order or even bring the drinks that we did order. We sat there shocked and disturbed waiting for several minutes and then finally walked out. They are not ready for prime time.
My friend and I stopped here before heading to the airport for home and I'm so glad we did! Amazing shrimp tacos, Mexican corn, and perfect guac. The salsa bar can't be skipped either! A+++
It was a great experience, although it was a little busy, there was an adequate amount of staff that made everything run like clock-work. The server/cashier/busser were all extremely welcoming & knowledgeable and made great recommendations.FYI: Margaritas were "Okay", but Blue Long Island were made to perfection.
