This review is not only about the phenomenal food at Casa Frida truly the best Mexican Cuisine I have ever tasted outside of Mexico. On Saturday I called Casa Frida and asked if they could take a party of 11 for the same day. Much to my surprise they said yes, my mom was turning, the family and I had all agreed on Dinner for the big day but nobody had made reservations. Not only did they take our party, but looked and found me a Mariachi Band to show up 4 hours after I called them. They allowed the 5 piece band to sing and perform for a solid hour and treated my mom like the queen she is.

Food was very good and the service was awesome! We will definitely be back!

Saw their ad in the "Around Town" newspaper- Taco Tuesday- 14 choices of flavors, great price and quality

The place is twice the size since the last time we were there. There’s two bars now. We sat in the room with the big bar the music was extremely loud. Did I say extremely loud. I was serve it was great the music was played was pretty good too but loud we both had four tacos on taco Tuesday when I asked for corn I thought it was like Taco Bell corn taco but it’s one of those round flat things we had chicken red mole, we had the beef picadillo, lamb Barbarossa we had it all. So busy that we didn’t order another round Of taco’s or the Mexican flan wha All good. But music way to loud . But it was a younger crowd

We went on a Tuesday and decided to have drinks at the bar first. I had a mango margarita for $14 and it gave me a horrible headache about an hour after we left. They must have used the cheapest tequila. The Tacos on Tuesday are mini sized and so unappetizing, don't bother. Chips and salsa are $4 for a tiny bowl and an even smaller cup of salsa. I saw a few dishes go by and none of them looked at all appetizing. The place was quite empty on a Taco Tuesday; most of the other Mexican places are mobbed when they do the discounted tacos. No one who worked there was pleasant or friendly. One and only visit.

Awesome margaritas and tapas style taco night. Perfect size to try different types! Always great ! Be patient, taco Tuesday is busy but well worth the wait!!!

I brought family from out of town to casa Frieda on the recommendation of a friend. When I called earlier in the day to ask if a reservation was necessary for a table of six, I was told no, we have plenty of tables. The first couple arrived at 6:15 and we were told we would be seated when everyone arrived. At 6:35 we were all present and were told that it was Taco Tuesday and we would have to wait they had no tables. I mentioned that the woman on the phone didn't tell us it was Taco Tuesday and had we known that it would be a problem to seat us, we would have chosen another restaurant and visited casa frida another day. The owner/manager needs some schooling on speaking to customers, he more or less told us to jump in the lake. Anyway, we ordered nachos as an appetizer which arrived 30 minutes later, and were nondescript and limp covered with some liquidy liquid-like cheese and a couple of jalapenos. The entrees took another 30 to 40 minutes to arrive and I'll only speak about mine, the chicken fajitas tasted as if the vegetables had not been washed. Everyone enjoyed the margaritas. The restaurant is extremely loud and raucous, and might have been a fun experience had we not been treated badly by the owner/manager. My money spends anywhere, and it won't spend here again. Oh, by the way, a waitress runs around at one point and slams of sombrero on everyone's head. I don't know on whose head it was on last or what kind of hygiene they practice or if they are suffering from covid. I think they should ask if anyone wants us sombrero. All in all a completely lackluster experience. This was an experience on a par with Montezuma's revenge.

Absolutely delicious!!! Very cool environment and great staff! Good and drinks were perfect. Highly, highly recommend!!!

best food and atmosphere!!!

Found this little gem on our last trip to Fort Lauderdale for our yearly cruise. We were in the mood for Mexican food and found Freida's on Google. To say we amazed would be an understatement! Authentic Mexican food at it's best and outstanding margaritas. There were 3 of us in our party and everyone loved it! We were not in a hurry and just wanted a relaxing enjoyable meal. Everything was excellent! Our waiter was super friendly and efficient. He brought us chips and salsa .. 3 different salsas from "gringo" to spicy and flavorful from different parts of Mexico. Spicy is in understatement but oh so good! The owner (pretty sure he was the owner) came over and explained the salsas and different things on the menu. Fantastic customer service and food! We will definitely be back on our vacation next February! We highly recommend this place!
