Black Rock is a great place for Happy Hour and regular dining. The good is excellent. The steak and shrimp combo is excellent. I love the twist they have to the Brusquetta appetizer. Drinks are very well served.

Enjoyed the shrimp starter that sizzled on the hot rock they serve right at your table. Paired with a side wedge salad, it was perfect. Great, crispy fish & chips (chips were batter friends, though.) oh Overall, pretty good.

Black Rock was such a fun experience! People may say “why would I go to a restaurant to cook my own steak?”Honestly, it was so fun to be able to season, butter, and cook the steak. If you order the steak, it comes on a plate that is 700+ degrees. You can cook it as little or as much as you like to. The steak comes with two complimentary sides. With a table of 5, it was difficult to have all the sides on the table with the hot plates. Each of us ordered 9 oz. and it was more than enough. We were celebrating a birthday and an absolute ginormous complimentary dessert came out with a sparkler on top. It was the “Volcano” - a giant brownie a la mode with a heaping serving of whipped cream drizzled with chocolate and caramel sauce. It was more than enough for 5.

I've been here twice. The second time is similar to many of the Google reviews. Our waiter said hi and then we never saw him again. Our drinks were ready for pick up and we could see them but again our waiter was MIA. Also, when he was there his finger nails were disgusting. They were so dirty and he kept pointing to things on the menu. It just turned me off so when he went missing and didn't bring back our appetizers my Dad decided to pay for his beer and we walked out. The staff didn't even try to convince us to stay or even an apology. Just horrible horrible service.

I thought the concept was a bit gimmicky. "Cook your own meat on hot rocks. Who goes out to cook they own food? Well I was sadly mistaken. I am what you would call a self proclaimed Chef at home. Always talking up my cooking. So I was at least willing to give it a go and to my surprise I cooked that 56 ounce rib eye to perfection...I enjoyed the experience and plan to go back.

I came with my mother, entered and asked for a table at 1pm , the place was almost empty. The women in the entrance said they could not serve us, and asked us to leave while 3 tables we being surged. I guess we we not Rock enough. The worst place I have ever tried to go to.

Deliciously reasonable. One can not go wrong with $4 martinis and $10.99 on select entrees between 4-6pm Monday through Friday. Best deal! My steak was cooked on a hot skillet, which Black Rock provided very tender and flavorful. The Chicken Janelle was very tasty too. The bartender was quick and responsive given their shortage in staff. We will definitely be returning!

I wanted to try this place mostly out of curiosity. Our food was OK, we cooked our own meat on the volcanic rock and it was tasty, most sides were not great. Cocktails weren't so good either. Service was really good though. Overall the place is OK

Jerk wings were good and so were the sautéed mushrooms. But the shrimp were ok and the crabcakes sorry to say worst I ever had. Nothing but batter.

This is an experience! You need to get a steak! They will bring it on a super hot stone. At this point you cut some pieces (careful is very hot) and spread them on the stone for few seconds, depending of how you like it cooked. For example 15-25secs on each side for medium-rare ?. You put some of the provided butter and voilá you just made your perfect steak! ENJOY!!
