Got there right at 11 and glad we did. People were already lining up!Menu is diverse enough for choices, without being overboard. I love the options for the fries/tots.My wife's Philly CheeseSteak was AWESOME. seriously. I finished it for her.I got the BCR burger. My only recommendation is they get bigger patties or tell you on the menu that the burger is like 5oz max. I could have eaten a triple no problem.The fries were okay, probably got cold while waiting on the rest to cook.Tots were good, I got them with the cheese sauce and chili seasoning. It might help to fry the tots a little longer because they totally mushed under the cheese sauce but they were still great.$30+ with only one beverage, but I still wish we had them in Georgia!!
So yeah. I was looking for basic teenager chow since I was traveling with my 14 year old.I had a burger(bacon, with cole slaw, cheese). He had a Philly Cheesesteak.We paid up front at the register and grabbed a table. Everything came out fast and hot.It's a decent size place and we had no trouble getting a table inside although there is outside seating also.The burger had that fresh, never-been frozen taste. The teenager inhaled his cheesteak in the blink of an eye. For some reason there is a SELECTION of styles of French fries. I didn't know "Southern" was a style of fry, but whatever... also good.I didn't take any pictures of the food, sorry. Here's a picture of my cat. His name is Midge.
Great for families or couples, their burgers, fries, and drinks are great. Get the Crown Royale! This is why you workout. We did combo of tots and fries. low key and laid back atmosphere. We’ve found our new burger place while on Amelia.
I'm with another reviewer below... if you don't supply fries with the burger or sandwich, and we have to pay that high for them ($5+) why charge for a dipping sauce? And .79c at that? Crazy prices. For burger and fries and one coke... over $30. But we did like the flavors overall. And i like how it seems like an old gas station in signage. (maybe it was! We don't know.) Very friendly staff. And good way to grab a quicker meal than the sit down restaurants nearby.
It’s been over a half hour to get our (2 of us) burgers. ($43 bucks with two large milkshakes) Place is near empty. The owners of this place are getting ripped off by the employees poor performance. Thankfully I kept my date time stamped receipt to show it to the cashier who said the meal was never prepared. Ended up getting a refund and went down the street to the Salty Pelican great burger there and reasonably prompt.
It was good. I had heard so much about this place that I was convinced I was really missing out by not trying it. I went to the Centre St. location. I went in and placed my order for one of the original cheeseburgers, fully loaded, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion. Also a small regular fry and a small drink. $14.31! WTH, this better be great.Took a seat outdoors to watch the traffic because I do love downtown Fernandina. My wait time was maybe 5 minutes and a server brought my food out. It was good. I will probably eat there again but it wasn't the stuff legends are made of by any means. It was a burger and fries. Just not sure what all the fuss was about.
Tasty (Fresh) burger. The tots were good. The fries needed to be cooked just a little longer. Not crazy about charging for dipping sauces when they already charge $5.00+ for fries.
Our first visit here, but not our last. The burgers were hit and juicy and delicious! I got the tots and loved them! Hubby got the fries and said they were good. We had great service!Our only drawback was that folks were bringing their dogs up to the tables outside and letting the little ones sit on them while waiting on their orders. I know this isn't the restaurants fault, however if you're going to be pet friendly you should also post signs up stating NOT to allow your animals ON the tables. A couple and one of their moms came with their little dog while we were there and did this. They then decided to move to a shaded table. The table they had been at had not been cleaned before another family sat down at this table.
Enjoyed my delicious burger and it was nice to sit outside with our puppies.
