Party of 2, was told it would be a 30 minute wait and they would call my phone when ready. No problem, great weather and nice waiting area. One hour later, we are still waiting. Asked the hostess what the status was and was told another ten minutes due to the kitchen putting a hold on tables because they were backed up. More than half the tables were empty so don’t understand that but whatever. We finally just left after another 20 mins. Three hours later, still never called my phone at all. Could not wait to try this place, but will never try again.
The view, fried shrimp, grilled mahi, & our server Jessica made today's lunch so special.Celebrating my 50th birthday we just wanted to enjoy the sunshine & not be rushed. Jessica didn't rush us at all. She even came by to check on us after we closed out our bill and were sitting on the Adirondack chairs.We sat and watched all the wildlife around us & really enjoyed our lunch and time together. The whole experience deserves an even a higher rating honestly.I forgot to mention their soup of the day today was a shrimp corn chowder ! It was delicious!
My 3 kids and I went there on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. It was not too crowded and we were able to sit outside in the wonderful weather, breezy and sunny. Although I could not get my kids to eat something we don’t get too often, they stuck to a burger, and fried shrimp, I ordered the ‘Famous Oysters’ and the gator tail as an appetizer. They got fried pickles also. Both were hot and fresh, the remoulade is sooo good! The Famous Oysters were very flavorful, definitely recommend. Not what you’d generally see on an oyster but definitely tasty.The service was awesome! A server and the outside bartender waited on us, drinks always filled and they were constantly checking on us. All in all, 5 out of 5! We will be back!
Great place for oysters!! Beautiful setting.Just happened upon on way back from beach. Looking for some fresh oysters also oysters Rockefeller ! Yum!
Great view of the marsh on Amelia Island. They had live music the night we were there. It was a good little band.As for the food we ordered a couple of appetizers, a crab/shrimp boil and some grilled oysters. The portion sizes for the appetizers were huge. So we just went family style so we could all have a little bit of everything. It was all good. My mom who doesn't eat seafood didn't really care for the sandwich she ordered. But I think when you go to a seafood and oyster bar you expect good seafood, which they did.
I have fallen in love with this hidden gem. The food was amazing. The service was great. We sat outside to look at the beautiful view.
This was a first time visit... saw the sign and full parking lot on our way to island. Full parking lot was a good sign. However the experience was not as good... though not bad either. The place is large and open atmosphere... with mix of tables and high top tables surrounding a large bar. Lots of tvs sort of like a sports bar. If you are looking for cosy... not here. The food was average... fried oysters were good but not better than most others I have had... same with the hush puppies and fries. My partner had the grouper and shrimp dinner and was pleased but again not raving good. The cole slaw was good but portion was baby sized... a little cup. Drink prices were good... as was the beer selection. There was an outside seating area with another bar as well... but we did venture there. The place was clean and waitstaff helpful and pleasant.
My husband and I really enjoyed eating here. The food was fabulous and we'll certainly be returning as soon as we can. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Our waitress Brynnlee was very friendly and attentive. She put our order in right away and brought us our drinks. She came back several times to check on us, always with a smile. I had crab cakes that were delicious and my husband had the fried oysters which he said was good. Had never been here before but decided to go as there were lots of FL plates on vehicles so figured it was a local hangout. We reside out of state. We were seated right away. Did not wait long at all for waitress. Well pleased with this place.
Service was great! Our waitress Jill was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Drinks were good and same for the food. We went for lunch and there was no wait. I got the Bang Bang shrimp and sweet potato fries.
