Service was amazing. We were seated at the outdoor bar upstairs and I wasn’t feeling well. Staff was nice enough to check on me throughout the dining experience- offering ginger ale, ice, crackers, etc. despite not being able to eat. The food, did look amazing! Can’t wait to return and actually try the food. If it is as good as the service, it will definitely be worth it.

Popular spot for dinner due to sunset views and upstairs open air bar area. Two of us waited around 45 minutes for dinner. Seated outside upstairs which would be nice with a breeze - beautiful views. Live music downstairs. Food was decent - service was good.

View was magnificent overlooking the sea and the sunset was spectacular. The waiting time was long. Informed us it's about 30-45 minutes. It was actually an hour and 10 minutes. Good thing the view kept us preoccupied. The service once sitted is great and friendly. The food is ok but I've had better from a smaller town like Crystal River and Homossassa.

We finally went to this place after many recommendations. We were seated outside on a ledge with a great view but stools were not comfy and very congested with other diners. I ordered the burger and it is a top 3 burger I have ever eaten. My wife got the chicken sandwich and it was also excellent. So the food is well above average. Service leaves a bit to be desired but it was extremely busy. Overall a solid visit. But you have to try the burger.

The blackened fish tacos were good but the fried fish and the crab cakes were average or below. The crab cake has a dry flavor. Same for the fried fish.

Really enjoyed Salty Pelican. Very cool and laidback vibe. I was by myself and I sat upstairs at one of their windows side deck seats with a great view of the Amelia River. I had a crab cake sandwich with fries and a locally brewed IPA beer. The food was excellent and the beer was cool and tasty. The staff was super friendly. I will absolutely return here again next time I’m in the area.

It was my wife's birthday, so she wanted to go to the Salty Pelican. The place was busy and a Sunday night. This was a good indication of a good restaurant. And it was. I had the fried shrimp and oyster plate, my wife had the blackened fish tacos. Both were spectacular. The environment was very lively and we had a gorgeous view of the St. Mary's river. If you are ever in the area, definitely think of this place, the manager and staff will treat you well.

I got a chicken sandwhich from here and it was absolutely amazing! The waiters were so friendly and very accommodating to your needs! They had live entertainment so it was a little noisy but I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Would definitely go back again. Excellent sweet tea as well.

What the island known for...go for the tastiest...great vibe and service, river view...go afternoons for no wait...

After reading the reviews we decided to forego our first choice and eat here. Party of three (one is a 6 year old), they first sit us at “the ledge”, basically a bar top outside facing the direct sun at 5:30pm. It was terrible. Got put on the list for an inside table, 40 minutes later we get a table outside. We suck it up and order. Entrees come out before appetizers. Food was good but not worth the wait and sweating. Won’t be back.
