I was excited to visit Natural Slice Pizza and Surf Shop today (6/17/2022). I came in with a service animal and was told I could not have him in this place of business. I offered documentation and explained that he is a registered service animal with full documentation and was told by the boy working there that "no animals are allowed". I let him know about the laws of the Americans with Disabilities Act and that my service animal had full documentation; He still said no. I have never experienced this before and spoke with two staff, a boy and a girl on the phone, they were of no assistance other than getting the manager to call me back after I have already written an email to my attorney to get in touch with this business. The girl on the phone refused to provide an email and just kept saying "the owner will call you. I know nothing about this". PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE train your staff about those with disabilities and the laws regarding service animals. I have never been denied anywhere, especially denied the ability to provide my documentation for him. My friends and family could not believe this happened. The manager was nice, but still, this was so after the fact that I was told I could not enter with a service animal. This is a violation of my rights. It was hurtful to not even be able to provide documentation but just told "no" like my service animal was a common pet. I will never return and/or suggest this place of business to anyone. Again, the manager is nice but the staff does not seem equiped to handle those of disabled conditions.
I'm from NY so it wasn't the best ive ever had as they would proclaim on site, but it is good and fresh! Go early or late, otherwise you;d be waiting a while.
Delicious pizza, expensive as the whole resort though
$6 per slice, but hey, it's vacation. I'm from New York so I have high standards for pizza, and the two cheese slices I had were as good as any in my area.
Natural Slice is on the grounds of the Omni. The shuttles will drop you off right at the door. Once there, you can eat in or get your pizza to go. The pizza is made with local sea salt, and we thought it was excellent.
Good pizza! Thin crust, good sauce, lots of toppings. Everything is made to order, even single slices. You can order by the slice, but this is not one of those places where the slices are just sitting there. Also, there are a couple video games, air hockey, in and outdoor dining. There is a shopping area with some clothes, beach shoes, sunglasses, beach purse and bags.
Needed a casual quick spot - pizza was much better than most pizza places .we are picky about crust and their homemade one was excellent .
Great little pizza shop on Amelia island. We had a pepperoni pizza. All the pizzas come in one size which would be equivalent to a large at chain pizza outlets. The crust was crispy and cheese gooey. I also had a spinach salad with oranges and artichoke hearts. The salad is enough to split between two people (purchase extra dressing). Speaking of dressing, their housemade ranch is fantastic. The staff are super friendly too.
The kids will love this very fun, clean and open Pizza Restaurant. Very reasonable too. In the Amelia Island Plantation shops. worth the trip to see the Omni and the Shops.
I had a slice of pizza here. They start with cheese pizza slice and you add the toppings you want. The service was friendly and fast. The pizza was very good. Worth a return trip.
