Celebrating our 43rd anniversary we made a reservation at Joe's, which we heard was one of the better restaurants in F.B. My wife checked a box on the online reservation site for "special needs" and explained we needed to be seated outdoors. The day before our reservation, my wife actually called the restaurant, left a voice mail and reiterated that we needed to sit outdoors and to call us if that was a problem. We showed up to the restaurant at the appointed time the next evening and were told "No outdoor seating this evening," The reason? Short staffed!! One of the wait staff just couldn't spare a few extra seconds to BRING THE FOOD OUTDOORS?? We had to scramble and were lucky to get in at Espana at the last minute. Joe's may have good food, but their customer service falls short. We won't be back.
We had reservations and were seated at the correct time. We had 2 appetizers (crab stuffed shrimp and wontons) and they were delicious. Everyone in our party of 8 enjoyed separate entrees - some burgers, some chicken dishes, some seafood, and a steak or two. Everyone loved their meals and the entire experience was fantastic. Shout out to Rachel (our waitress)- she was attentive, very thorough, and was magical in her ability to seem to pop up from nowhere when needed. Thanks for a great night!

Amazing restaurant in downtown Fernandina Beach. The menu and food were very creative. The mixture of ingredients to create the flavor profiles was well thought out. The staff was friendly and attentive.
If you want a ruined evening, especially for a special occasion, this is THE place. We made online reservations, followed by a phone call to book our 40th wedding anniversary dinner. We specifically stated we wanted to eat outside and were told that wouldn’t be a problem as long as the weather cooperated. We received a text 30 minutes prior to our arrival again confirming our reservation. Yet when we arrived the first thing we were told is that we’d be dining indoors. Even though the weather was lovely and all other outdoor restaurants were seating diners outdoors, Joe’s patio was closed. We reluctantly agreed to sit in a crowded indoor space and looked over the menu left by the host. Then we looked some more. Not planning to extend the event to include our 41st anniversary, we eventually gave up and left. No outside dining. No inside dining. This is just an air conditioned space as far as I can tell. Two stars for working air conditioning.
We had a great Easter dinner tonight, the lamb was delicious, the pork chop and the seafood linguine was wonderful. Presentation was perfect and our waiter Brian was awesome. One of our favorite restaurants. We will be back again and again.

This is a wonderful restaurant with great food and even better service. They take reservations and seated us promptly. We dined in the patio and it was much quieter than inside the main house.
We appreciate restaurants that take reservations. We arrived on time at 7pm and we were immediately seated. Our waiter, Bryan, was busy with a number of tables but he was attentive and service was good. We enjoyed our dinners but thought the menu was a bit limited and we were disappointed not to have grouper fish as an option.
Joe's is an elegant restaurant with excellent food. The service from Brian was top-notch. We had a wonderful evening.
