We were looking for a lunch spot and “stumbled “ on this great spot. Patio is lovely. Service by Emily G. Was fantastic! This was our first visit here. Emily recommended the fried green tomato sandwich and blackened Mahi sandwich specials as being very good. She was not wrong at all. Both were delicious!
The food was pretty good for lunch and reasonably priced. However, don’t come here if you’re not into being serenaded by a slamming door. I believe management must be hard of hearing! I took multiple videos so you could hear the CONSTANTLY slamming door but unfortunately I can’t post them on this review. Perhaps they’ll take the time to fix that one day soon. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating.
We went to Cafe Karibo on a Tuesday at noon. Tables were available both indoors and on an outdoor patio. Our server, Naomi, was attentive. I had a shrimp salad on a croissant with a mix of French and sweet potato fries. My relatives had a cheesesteak sandwich and a chicken salad wrap. The tasty food was served promptly. One of the 3 bathrooms was handicap accessible. I would happily return to this cafe.
Loved this place !! Best place that we ate on our first visit to Fernadina Beach!! Awesome food, drinks and service!! If we come back to visit, we will definitely come back here!!
Great little place where you sit under the trees and enjoy a beautiful evening, we had a variety of different items from the menu and loved them all. It was also nice that while you were waiting you could get a drink from next door and even mini bowl for a bit. What a great concept and fun way to enjoy an evening out with friends.
I went to Cafe Karibe to celebrate my husband's birthday based on the opinions i saw on tripadvisor. Maybe we hit a bad nite (June 7) but his shrimp & grits was only slightly warm and passable but my blackened mahi sandwich was good and the fries were just heat lamp warmed up - - not freshly made. Nothing spectacular to write home about.
Cafe Karibo was a unique dining experience with delicious food.I had the loaded lentil salad with grilled shrimp. My wife enjoyed the crab cakes, and we shared a bowl of chicken seafood gumbo. The gumbo was flavorful, hot, and excellent. The crabcakes were the best we've had on Amelia Island. The lentil salad was chock full of crunchy vegetables, including bib lettuce. The grilled shrimp were tender and flavorful. This is healthy food that tastes good!We returned for a second lunch. This time we had the Thai Seafood soup and it was just as good as the gumbo on the previous visit. I repeated on the lentil salad with a crab cake as an add on. My wife had the shrimp and grits. Spicy and delicous.Cafe Karibo is on our list for a return visit.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch with a baja baby salad topped with a crab cake and my wife had the 2 crab cake plate. The outside setting and weather were perfect. The staff and their service was excellent! We will eat here again!
Love this place. The Curry Chicken wrap is so good. Ask for a side of thai noodles. (It's on the app menu but you can get them for a 2.99 add on instead of fries. They go well together if you like thai.)
last minute dinner because the pizza place beside it closed early for some reason, i'm glad they did, food was good beer was cold, wife like the wine, service quick and helful
