Walked in on a Saturday night w a party of 7, seated immediately and appetizers came out quick! Great views and a beautiful sunset.Fried green tomatoes, tomato mozzarella grilled chicken on ciabatta w pesto, and key lime chiffon pie were all delicious. Everyone loved their meals!Service was wonderful, friendly and we had a great time talking with our server throughout the evening.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We went early and were seated right away. My first impression was it was a nice place, but had a limited menu. I had the shrimp and grits. Very good. 2 in our party had fried shrimp. They liked their meal, but only had 7 shrimp. That seems to be the norm on the island. Service was outstanding. Overall a good place.
This is a beautiful setting for a restaurant. Nice romantic atmosphere. The food was good but just average. This might be our fault as we were liking for a good burger. Maybe not the best burger but good enough for our craving.
We walked in at 6PM on a Friday night and surprisingly got immediate indoor seating for four. We had a Shrimp Po-Boy, Shrimp and Grits, Grilled Salmon, and Bourbon Street Pasta.Overall this was a positive experience but the Shrimp Po-Boy and the Shrimp and Grits were short on shrimp. This may seem picky but for the price in a town known for its shrimping history, the shrimp should be the star ingredient in a Po-Boy and Shrimp and Grits. The other two entrees were excellent. The location and view are awesome. Service was good. Food arrived to the table quickly.I would recommend this restaurant but avoid the Shrimp Po-Boy.
Just was not that impressed - seemed a somewhat limited menu at least in regards to seafood which was our goal considering the location. Started out with an appetizer of fried green tomatoes but we all stated they had the least taste of any any of us had ever had. Bland maybe a good word. Had hoped for maybe some seafood chowder or the like. Not on menu. Had seen lobster pasta type on menu on line. Not on the menu though during this meal. Friends did enjoy their shrimp and grits. Wife said grouper bits and fries were ok. I had shrimp in a pasta and vegetable mix. Not so good. Was just expecting a better experience. Maybe next time.
Very beautiful views. Good service. The food was mostly good. The fries tasted weird, my husband never leaves fries on the plate but he did not eat them. They must fry everything in the same fryer. Overall it was a decent lunch.
Great food, great service, beautiful views right on the water! We were able to be seated quickly. Our waitress was a wonderful server. We sat inside and still had fantastic sunset views. The food was delicious! Fried green tomatoes, Mahi Mahi, asparagus with crab meat and bacon, peach bread pudding!
But do enjoy the great service, view and entree first...fresh fish and seafood prepared with tasty flair of chefs Brett certainly proud of...indoor/outdoor seating, enjoy the sunset over the river with your pie...
Alex is hands down the best waitor at Brett’s, handsome & does a good job!! Get the burger it was amazing
I ran in to this cafe, trying to quickly grab something before my ferry departed. I asked the front workers for their advice on what would come out the fastest and they got me to the bar, ordering some sandwiches within a minute. I paid and was out of the place and onto my ferry in about 15 minutes! It was awesome, and the food was great. Their chips are homemade! I recommend their club sandwich, it is generously made and tastes fresh. Beautiful place, as well.
