I have been here many times during my visits to Engelwood, and we always bring our own, fresh fish. There is always a good atmosphere, sometimes live music inside and outside, happy people and very good service. I can recommend their blackened fish, tartare sauce and spicy fries. On our last visit on May, unfortunately the coleslaw wasn't good, but the rest was okay, so it's just a small slip. See you next time.
My husband and I came here the first night of our trip. Our waitress was great and even suggested something yummy to order. However, the only thing we enjoyed was what she suggested (the fried cod fish basket). The fries were fine too. Just not very good fried shrimp or conch fritters. I think if we had been drinking and just having a snack while at the bar the food might have been alright. But we were here for a family meal and it just didn't meet expectations. Also, there was soap in the bathroom but the dispenser is broken so I couldnt get it out ? I have to say the view is beautiful- we saw a gorgeous sunset and there was decent live music. You can also come by boat which is cool.

This place is such a vibe! We went for the sunset, waterfront views, outdoor seating, and live music. Snook’s did not disappoint. Loved the cornmeal batter on the fish platter. It was seasoned well and the fish was moist. My seafood po boy was full of fried oysters and the sauce on the sandwich was delicious. To top it off, our waitress was awesome. She suggested the rum bucket and it was amazing! Definitely will be a regular here.
It's a shame as this place has so much potential but, everything headed south right from arrival. The hostess was overwhelmed, disorganized and rude. This place was the opposite of inviting. Several people were upset and were leaving due to poor service. The food was mediocre. They do have good live music which in my opinion is the only draw to this place. The place just had a bad unwelcoming vibe which is the opposite of what I am looking for when I go out.
We had a truly enjoyable experience for our first visit with friends. The food was delicious. The incredible Dolphins swimming back and forth. The amazing Sunset ?. The staff were very friendly. We will gladly return.
Good food. Live band. Very casual dining on picnic tables. Only reason why I didn't give it a 5 star was because parking was limited and that the music was too loud to have conversation at the table.
