What a fun place! Our waitress was a blast, and she was really good. We went on a Friday night and they had all you can eat fried grouper and french fries. OMG, the first basket they served us had three giant pieces of fish and a mound of fries. They want to be sure you get ALL YOU CAN EAT! The atmosphere in the dining room is really fun with lots of old pics of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Jerry Lewis. Supposed there's a story there about them and the owners but I didn't catch it. In addition to great indoor dining, they have great outdoor seating area where the bar is with a live band that was actually really good. The food was outstanding and reasonable considering all you got. I highly recommend it especially if you just need to break away from the house for a fun evening on the town!
We showed up thirty minutes before closing. They invited us in. The food was amazing. The place is a cross between a great Italian restaurant, and a seafood bar. They brought our food one course at a time. We asked if we needed to take it to go. They said enjoy your meal and take as long as you want. The food was amazing.
Small little hometown restaurant. They have inside and outside seating. Only about 5-10 tables inside. We didn't go outside but their was a bar there and more tables. It was a covered outside area.They have a variety of food from seafood to Italian to normal American food. We had a big table with nine people and a new waitress. Considering the possibilities she did great. The food came out pretty quick and it was good.For four of us with two appetizers and four soft drinks and meals it came to about $100.00 plus a tip. All in all we would go back again.
Get there early it's busy however service and meals more than make up for the any wait involved. Live music is often provided and suits the environment of social conversation and fun with new acquaintances abounding. Smoking is allowed outside so if you prefer they have a pleasant inside accomodations with a friendly and courteous social bar inside as well. My wife and I enjoy every visit... Try the gnocchi with meatballs added!
Horrible experience with service. Atmosphere was good with music on Tuesday evening. Host totally forgot us and we waited more than an hour for a table. After finally getting a table we again waited and after watching the couple next to us who was seated at the same time get drinks, order food, then get salads and letting the host know that a server had not been to our table twice, we left and noted to the host that it was our worst experience ever in a restaurant for service.we felt invisible and unimportant to the staff.
Visited early evening on March 24, the place was crowded and very loud, plus the band was very loud don't go there with a headache. The waitstaff was pleasant and prompt. The food was good, however there is a oscillating fan mounted to the blue painted wall that was on, when I looked up at it only to find it disgustingly dirty like it hasn't been cleaned in years, so we turned it off. I then started looking around and found numerous dirty walls, a dirty speaker hanging over another table where people were eating. Outside of building no better. That building needs a hellova cleaning and new paint. Attached are a few pics.
Meh. Not too impressed. We went to see Rob Benton whom we have seen before. Couldn't get a table and they wouldn't let you do take out or order from the bar and take it to a table they wouldn't serve to. Finally gave up and sat inside. Our waitress was nice but not all there. Thought we had already ordered and came over to check to make sure she had who ordered what correctly. We told her we hadn't even been spoken to yet, which seemed to confuse her. Anyway, food was so so. Crab cakes were good, onion rings had no flavor. Fried grouper was not worth it, more batter than needed and fell off the fish which just left a shell of the batter. Steak and cheese sub and sausage/ peppers over pasta was definitely nothing to write home about. I don't have high standards when it comes to places as I love dive bars and such lol but this is not a place I'd go back to at least anytime soon.
