Food is consistently delicious! We return as much as possible to visit and enjoy authentic Mexican food. They have a nice happy hour, Mexican beer on draft, and a decent variety of tequilas. Always have a hard time deciding what to order, usually either tacos or enchiladas. Today tried the beef taco salad.All recommended! For those that want some “extra spice”’ ask for the Diablo sauce and mix into the salsa!We have met the owner Erika several occasions and she genuinely cares for her staff, and customers. It is well known she treats her staff like family.Visit this family owned restaurant, you won’t be disappointed. Ask for Valinda behind the bar during the day, or Scott at night!Kudos to the amazing kitchen staff!
Had lunch there today. Very nice lunch menu. Affordable prices but good portions. Friendly service and also could sit outside. Fajitas very good. See pictures. Will come again Friday ??Second time here. Wonderful experience. Food again good and enough. Friendly service. Not easy to find a place like this here in this big tourist trap area. Most other restaurants are way more expensive, some unfriendly and real tourist traps. Happy to have found this place.
What a great find here in Englewood- Port Charlotte area. If you're looking for delicious authentic Mexican food with great atmosphere, music and people then definitely check this place out. My husband and I try their pick 2 or 3 special and we tried their tamales, sopes and Enchiladas and all were delicious. The sauces were not too spicy which we were happy because we enjoy every last bit of the food. Great kids options as well the cheese quesadilla was a big hit with our boys. Definitely going back!
Sadly, this night was very disappointing. Waited graciously for our table (45 min) ordered our own drinks beforehand. Then when seated, went to the bar to order another round, they were quite busy so it was ok. BUT, after one hour of not even being acknowledged (we did get chips/salsa delivered by someone, not a waitress to or our table) we left. We love this place as and the food. Will go back regardless
Not many great Mexican restaurants in the area. Fortunately this one is great! Consistently good food, drinks, and service! Been going for many years and hopefully many more!
Busy and buzzing crowd, but we found a quiet table out front and away from others, for quiet (and distance in terms of covid. GREAT MEAL! We started off with guac, salsa and tortilla chips....which were really good. Fresh, tasty and enjoyable. Then our huge(!) servings came....flautas, soft tacos, a taco bowl, shrimp quesadillas....thay were all truly enjoyable. Thanks! We WILL be back.
I wasn't very hungry, so I ordered an appetizer-sized portion chicken quesadilla. It came stuffed with chicken. I ended up taking more than half of it home. Margaritas were also very good. Nice place.
It’s sad when I say Taco Bell has better quality of food & is less expensive. I’d been a couple years earlier & was unimpressed but when girlfriends wanted to take me there for a bday dinner the other night I thought I’d give it another go & it’s gotten worse.
Very friendly staff. The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting. The menu was plentiful and I appreciated all the vegetarian options. The food is reasonably priced and very good! Full of flavor, with homemade salsa and sauces. Would highly recommend and will definitely return in the future!
Will not return. My husband ordered chili rellenos. This is his favorite dish and he gets this any time we have Mexican food. What he received was awful. The pepper was not cooked, the cheese was not melted. When the server finally came to the table my husband pointed out that the block of cheese in the dish was not melted or the pepper cooked properly. The server got surely with him and said why did you eat it. Well he was hungry. He didn't finish the plate and the server didn't return to our table to check in for almost 30 minutes. He offered to have the manager to come over but at that point we were ready to just get out of there. The dish was left on our bill. We paid and promptly left. I'm usually willing to give a place a second chance but not this one.
