I was a little nervous because I'm not to fond of NY style pizza. We were very pleased. We had the Joe's pizza as well as the meats. Toppings were great and abundant, sauce was flavorful, plenty of cheese, and for the price, was a great value. We did carryout so I can't speak for the service other than the Male host was a little curt. Maybe it was because it was takeout. Definitely consider Mamas when in town.
This is the best Italian food I have had since being in Port Charlotte! We went without a fridge for a week and had to eat out everyday. Over that time we tried multiple nearby Italian and this was by far the best! Not only that, every meal was fantastic and homemade! I am extremely picky and for me, hands down some of the best Italian food, I have ever had!

Amazingly amazing! This place has a little bit of every! The minestrone soup is to die for! The pizza is great!! Spaghetti awesome! Onion rings - yes please!! And the people- treat you like family! Also a smiling face!
This restaurant is hands down amazing service that is quick and friendly. From being seated, to taking our order to the food coming out they all work as a team servicing the customers. Even to cleaning they are quick to clear tables from sanitizing and vacuuming to keep areas clean for dining. We have been in Florida for 4 years and have never had service like this! They manage this restaurant very well not only all the customers being quickly served but they had carry out coming in and out with no wait!! And it was packed!! All around a great experience!! I also want to give a huge shout out to our waitress who was wonderful, Ortencia!! She was fabulous!!!
This is an excellent little Italian gem of a restaurant. Man, the food is delicious, the portions are huge and it's all made fresh. In addition, we had a fantastic server named Brandi. With several customers in addition to us, she continuously had a smile, stayed on top of what we needed and never missed a beat. We are already planning our next visit!
Great dining experience. Delicious meals, more than pleasant staff, great prices. This is the best old time type Italian restaurant. Always dine here when we are in the area. Would rate 10 stars if they were available. Thanks for a wonderful dining experience.
Appropriately named, Mama's Italian Restaurant is like gathering at the dinner table. We were seated quickly and Maria, our server, was friendly and attentive. Our portions of veal parmesan and spaghetti and meatballs were platter sized and tasty! We ordered a plate to go because the gravy was so delicious. A great find in Englewood, FL for authentic Italian food. We'll be back. Thank you Maria and the staff at Mama's.
Stromboli and lasagna was very good. Mama's was full and our party of 9 had to wait 20 minutes, but the food order was delivered within 15 minutes. Service was prompt and attentive. The only thing is conversation was a bit of a challenge, probably since it was so busy on that Saturday night.
A MUST if you’re in the area! The secret gem of englewood. HUGE portions, the BEST pizza. A great and affordable steak dinner. This place gets busy, so definitely make a point to stop in. The staff is amazing. I get my pizza every week here and a nice shrimp Alfredo on a special day. Love the chicken and rice soup also.
