Every town has at least one non-chain small restaurant where you can have a decent breakfast (or lunch, or sometimes dinner) in a clean but non-descript environment - the kind of place where it seems at least half of the diners and staff know each other. Dunedin is blessed with several. At Starlite Cafe, in a small strip plaza on the way to downtown Dunedin (but far enough away to keep the prices lower!), Gus cooks, Mina serves, and you get to enjoy a reasonably priced delicious meal. I'm there often enough - about 2-3 times a month - that they know my standard beverage order and my favorite menu items (although they know better than to toss one on the grill, as I will often deviate and try something new).
