The store is setup mom and pop style. The ice cream was good, but nothing great. The prices were fair and the staff is customer friendly.
I think that Jillybeans is one of the undiscovered gems in Dunedin. From the outside, it appears to be a “Mom and Pop“ ice cream stand. But when you go inside, you discover an ice cream stand with so much more.My wife and I ate dinner last night at Jillybeans. Each of us had a cheeseburger with bacon, and we split an order of onion rings. The burgers were tasty and the onion rings did the trick for us. The menu includes multiple other hot food items as well, including two different sizes of hotdogs. They also serve adult beverages, such as wine, beer, and cocktails.Where the restaurant really shines, however, is in their ice cream offerings. They sell nearly 2 dozen flavors of ice cream, but for those who have dairy intolerance, they offer several flavors of Philadelphia water ice and several flavors of non-dairy ice cream. Because I cannot eat dairy, I have a double dip dish of peanut butter and chocolate non-dairy ice cream. When I tasted it, I told my wife, “I think they made a mistake and gave me two dips of the regular ice cream!” That is how good the non-dairy ice cream was. My wife got a double dip dish of Almond Joy and Kahlua Crunch ice cream, and she loved it.The restaurant has plenty of parking, with indoor seating at four or five tables, and lots of outdoor seating as well. We have such a good experience last night, which was our first time eating at the restaurant, that I would heartily recommend Jillybeans for your next meal away from home.
The external makeover and welcoming new logo made me very hopefully for a formerly ICONIC Dunedin locale, anyone that's been here since the 80's knows that 'Fritzee Freeze', was fun and welcoming and delicious. I remember walking there from my house down the street as a kid and taking my own very small children there-even as they were crumbling under the Recession. I wish the new owner actually acted like she was happy to see a customer, a child giddy with excitement over a scoop of ice cream. A child even more excited when I told the owner behind the counter that my son won this card for superior performance at the school seconds from her location. She ran the card, and said "oh, well it's JUST a 5 dollar gift card". No, "Good Job buddy!" or "Keep up the hard work and we'll see you all the time!". Nothing. Except, upon my asking for clarification that same statement- only more nasty "it's JUST a 5 dollar gift card". Check. Got it. Well, my 3 other kids at home and husband and myself were going to get our own orders too, but after the way you treated me and my son, no thank you. Publix is on the way home. I 'd recommended the kind guys and gals at Publix anyway over the sad, empty shell of what used to be Fritzee Freeze.
Cute little place. Lots of flavors, good prices. I had soft serve Peanut butter!!! Very good, nice and creamy. Indoor and outdoor seating
Jill has great food and snacks she has very nice people working for her Jill does a fabulous job working with people sh is a very nice lady you all will enjoy your visit there
nice staff. it was wonderful of them to support the charity event held by the Red Knights MC for children to get wheelchairs

Has a great feel to the environment!! Jill is such a sweetheart and works super hard!! Great to her customers!! Thank you for all you do!!! Cheesesteaks are fabulous and the root beer float was on point!! She had a negative customer while we were there and was still sweet and professional!!! You go girl ? definitely will be back!!
