I have had the pleasure of dining here a few times. The food is amazing, as is the service. I cannot recommend the mushroom flatbread enough, I literally crave that stuff. Their cocktails are also fun and always consistent. We have dined inside and on the patio at sunset. We have had quiet nights and fun bridal parties to watch.Including music on the patio .Tonight, we were recommended the Chef's table which is sitting at a bartop and watching the kitchen work. The staff engages with you while they are working. Chef Steve was very concientious of food allergies and spent an amazing amount of time talking to my daughter, who just graduated from culinary school. My daughter was very impressed with the symbiosis and teamwork and how Chef Steve is not too good to help everyone, including delivering food.It is not cheap, but it is so worth it. We shared an appetizer and had (2) 16 oz ribeyes, chef select entrees, and ordered the same entree to take home to my mom. Add on a cocktail and the total was $240-ish before tip.No complaints at all and I am still happily stuffed 7 hours later. Thanks Hew crew . . . You were absolutely amazing!Recommend for everyone, not just our tourists.

Enjoying dinner on the front porch. Nice weather, music, and sunset. Excellent food and service.

This restaurant was recommended to us by some friends and it mostly met the expectation. We ordered the pork belly fried green tomatoes- delicious. For mains we both had steaks- my wife the coffee crusted flank steak, I had the strip. Both were dramatically under seasoned and my wife’s was very undercooked. Once we salted the food it was MUCH better- amazing what a bit of salt will do. We ate in the dining room which was a miss because we found out that there is a rooftop bar overlooking the intercoastal at which we could have dined. The service was average and the decor was also less than exciting. All in all we enjoyed our date night but wouldn’t go out of our way to eat here again. In Dunedin there are many many wonderful places to eat- save this one for after you’ve visited all the others.

Everything here was exceptional. We shared a Caesar salad, had NY steak and filet, brussel sprouts and mushrooms. Everything perfectly cooked and seasoned. Dessert was a seemingly bottomless bowl of brownies and 3 flavors of high quality ice cream. Prices were reasonable and less than restaurants we visited in Jacksonville Beach and Savannah that were very good but Hew food was better.

Shockingly, not great. Beautiful locale, yes. Mediocre food (at least on the set menu for New Years Eve dinner), especially for the prices. Desserts were literally just bad. Super cheap tasting (hard to explain... apricot cake was dry, chocolate "torte" thing was just cheap chocolate pudding put into a tiny overly sweet pie shell with overly sweet caramel and canned whipped cream. Something a 5 year old might enjoy). My 14 year old son enjoyed his steak well enough (it was $95. ?). The other dinners (ranged $65-$125) were seriously nothing to write home about. They were "okay." What made the entire experience rather negative was the amazingly bad, bad service. That's what shocked me the most. I can overlook mediocre food and bad desserts, but to pay fairly high prices for all of that and receive terrible table service, too, just was super disappointing. And there really, truly was no excuse. I won't go into the details (other than the room wasn't overly crowded and our server passed our table 20 times without picking up a dirty plate, checking our waters, offering drinks (ever), etc. Maybe he knew the tip was included in the bill (8 of us) and so didn't feel he had to "work" for it. But in the end it was rude. And we are sweet, not-at-all-demanding or complaining diners. I rarely write "bad" reviews, but this one time warrants it. (Oh, and he never mentioned that tip was included, so we all left tips on top of that. After realizing, I called to have those taken off. He didn't deserve another $100+, that's for certain). Disappointing.

Let me start by saying, I’ve been to Hew Parlor & Chophouse several times before New Years Eve 2021. I’ve been there for Brunch, lunch, dinner and special events like “Cupcakes & Cocktails” & “Afternoon Tea”. Every single visit has been way below our expectations.I’ve never felt compelled to leave a review before now, but the experience on New Years Eve was so awful, I had to leave one. We were lead into a small room with cheap chairs, tables, and plastic tablecloth’s. It reminded me of a dirty room at a convention center they would do job fairs in. We sat down at our table and immediately noticed how dirty our water and wine glasses were. We are not high maintenance people, but you would not believe the film on these glasses. Our server was completely inexperienced and disinterested in making our evening special. They had one top Champagne to choose from by the glass and he didn’t even know what the name was. After waiting over 30 minutes for our cocktails, I received a warm glass of Champagne. We ordered our meal and each course started to come out very slowly. The first course was some sort of tartlet and it was literally as small as a crouton. The presentation was a mess. The second course was supposed to be a nice salad, but we received a pile of mushy black eyed peas with some corn and a couple slices of a dill pickle from a jar on top. My entrée was the biggest disappointment. I ordered the Filet and it was cold as ice and the presentation was a complete mess. Last but not least, we received our dessert. I was supposed to receive a lovely, rich chocolate tart. I received a tiny looking bite sized cookie that looked like someone had already taken a bite out of it. That’s how broken and what a mess the presentation was. We were with another couple and we each paid $300 per couple. This was seriously the worst overpriced meal we have ever had. We are locals and tried to give this place a fair shake time and time again. Not sure we’ll go here again……

Came to HEW for Thanksgiving day dinner and it was truly wonderful. The food was amazing as was our server. Mostly everyone was so friendly and helpful. It wasn't a big deal... but, the only people who weren't very warm and welcoming were the 2 older ladies seating everyone, they also seemed a bit frazzled and overwhelmed... but, there was a gentleman (who I'm assuming was a manager) that came to the rescue! I went back up to the hostess stand after we were seated and one of the ladies was quite short with me and didn't even bother to ask what the issue was. But, I caught the gentleman on my way back to the table and he quickly inquired about the issue and solved the problem in a flash all with a smile. He was all over the place and so hands on. Kudos to the excellent management ? And again, hats off to the chef so so good! Our server was also right on top of everything ? and the valet was fast and great as well. Thank you HEW for a superb Thanksgiving day experience! We will definitely visit again ?

Cozy high end steakhouse with a decent wine selection. Super friendly professional service. Nice change of pace spot for a great dinner and drinks at the HiFi rooftop bar upstairs at sunset to finish out a great evening. The 40oz tomahawk is very marbled as a watch out, if you want a lean cut I'd "steer" clear ;)
