Amazing food and Amazing service!

Best grouper sandwich in the area. Excellent quality seafood. "Amber O" was our terrific server. Highly recommended!

great food. great service

Located brilliantly at the entrance and exit of the Dunedin Causeway, Honeymoon Island and Caladesi this place is a colorful beacon to weary travelers and visitors with the hopeful promise of good food, thirst quenching drinks and leisurely relaxation. We had the Grilled Shrimp Ceasar Salad, Cup of She Crab Soup, the Original Grouper Sandwich and the Kids Chicken Fingers. The Ceasar and the She Crab were excellent. The kids meal with fries was very good. The grouper sandwich was not as pleasing to me, totally my fault for ordering battered fish instead of blackened which is my favorite. The battered fish will please many who do not mind the excess batter because it is crispy and tasty and makes your fillet look huge. There is inside dining, indoor/outdoor combo dining and outdoor dining. The combo dining area is an open air space covered with opaque red ceiling that lends a pinkish hue to the area. There is an indoor bar and a "Tiki" bar elevated above the sidewalk at the front of the restaurant. A great place to relax, chill and enjoy the ambiance after a long hot day at the causeway and parks.

On the way to Honeymoon Beach we stopped here after seeing some great reviews on the Grouper Sandwich. For the appetizer we chose the Garlic Crab Fries. Perfectly crisped fries topped with fresh Crab meat, the ratio of fries to Crab meat was perfect, all were lightly seasoned which was perfect for this dish. I had the Teriyaki Pork Belly bowl, which I found surprisingly very, very good. Because I smoke my own pork belly, I am very partial to pork belly cooked perfectly. This is it, with a base of rice, freshly sautéed assortment of veggies and a perfect amount of pork belly this is a must try. Recommendation if I must, serve this with an apple slaw or something slightly sweet or to cut the salty teriyaki taste a bit. My wife had the Grouper Sandwich and Cole Slaw, definitely lived up to the prior reviews. The sandwich was perfect she noted, the Slaw however was average. We also had a small rat terrier service dog, happy to say he enjoyed his half a burger. The Manager did come over to make sure all was good with our meals, never mentioning anything regarding the dog so I would consider this a dog friendly establishment.

Everything was SEA-LICIOUS!!! Garlic fries had crab on top! (and not that fake stuff) The "fresh catch" pretzel served hanging from a fish hook was quite the head turner. Grilled avocado halves stuffed with tuna poke and seaweed salad reminded me of when we were in Hawaii. It was a great size for a lunch too. We ordered cajun scallops and they were cooked perfectly. However, when the water is larger than the beer...we have problems! :) Smallest draft beer E.V.E.R. The frozen Rum Runner was fabulous! I can't forget our waiter...James was amazing!!!

Love this place for the food and drinks, not so much for the wait process and small bar area. First favorites are the calamari appetizer, salads and grouper sandwich- best you can find. Many drink specials around $8 so cheaper than many restaurants. Never feel rushed once seated and bartenders and servers attentive and friendly. Cons, bathrooms can be dirty, annoying when people use it as a changing room after they leave the beach, sometimes it is very dirty. You will most days wait for a table and if you are lucky enough to grab a seat at the bar you will notice many tables empty and not cleared. If they cleaned quicker or had more help more people could be served. Most times now if get a seat at the bar just order there. Note this location really has no view, outdoor seating looks at the road, no water to be seen - for views go to the Clearwater Beach location. Go to any Frenchys location to enjoy the food and beverages.

Good selection of beers, prompt service, enjoyed sitting at the bar. Lively vibe. Ordered appetisers of calamari and grouper bites/ good portions. The grouper was especially tasty and fresh.

Beet salad with tuna topper made a great lunch. Fresh salad fixings perfectly seared tuna made this visit enjoyable. Service was fast and friendly. Prices were in line with my expectations.

I was really disappointed. I ordered Grouper stuffed with crabmeat. What I received was a piece of grouper with a crab cake placed on top, and the crab cake was all filler. I barely saw any crab meat in it. For $20 I was highly disappointed. I will stick with just my grouper sandwiches. My rice was undercooked and I got another order that was better. I love coming here when I'm in town. I will go back again, but will not order anything having to do with crabs.
