The entire staff at Escape Root is the perfect example of who any company or organization wants representing their brand. This staff is kind, compassionate, and just all around honorable humans!A few weeks back, I had been looking forward to my bowl all day and dropped in mid-afternoon to pick up a bowl to take home, neglecting to realize they close at 3pm. I was having a VERY rough day personally and when they politely said they were closed, the weight of my day/personal things at that time got the best of me & my emotions, as this bowl was the highlight of my day I had been looking forward to all day.Not only did they not treat me like a crazy person for my emotions that day, the two amazing women went above & beyond to not only make me the bowl I came for after they had already cleaned up, but they made me a 2nd to take home as well.The world could learn a lot from Escape Root & their staff, to treat every customer as an individual, treating everyone with mutual respect, kindness, and ultimately compassion & understand.You have a fan & customer for life! Thank you for supporting me on what was a very emotional day <3 !!!
Awesome place. I got the Midnight Train smoothie and it was delicious. We have definitely found our juice bar.
Escape Root is the gem of Dunedin! We love to spend our mornings here, drinking organic espresso, having blue bowls + playing board games. The energy you feel when entering is a reflection of the hearts of the staff + the pure organic goodness of the ingredients. I couldn’t recommend a better place to spend your time in Dunedin!

Fresh organic fruit and ingredients is the lifestyle we love! We will definitely be back for more! The staff is also so friendly and has great energy.
Fresh, clean, and fast - with the ability to add in items to the juice. However it is a bit pricey, and juice is pre-made. If you want a custom order, you'd have to order the day before with a minimum quantity of 3.
I freaking love this place. If you are a plant person like me you will also love it. It’s newly discovered to me but I will be going there at minimum once a week. Staff is super sweet. And the smoothies are freakin amazing. 10/10 recommend. Yes. Yes. Yes.

Great place for healthy, organic alternatives. The bowls or the snack cereal bowls are delicious! They make homemade granola and almond milk! Delicious!!
I moved to this area from Los Angeles and THIS gem is not only clean and vibey and aesthetic and cozy but their menu and quality of juices and superfoods is off the charts! (Says the LA girl) and the staff have become like family! Not to mention every customer who walks in the door. It really attracts the coolest folk! Hit this place up and have their fresh made almond milk and lemon ginger and turmeric pineapple shots!
