I am so thankful to this Lucila shop on bird road. They did such an outstanding job on our wedding cake. It was an outdoor wedding (Vizcaya) so it was not an easy feat getting the cake there and having it hold up. They managed it all like the pros they are and needless to say it was SO DELICIOUS with their signature taste and style that is a Miami staple. It was so gorgeous, a million thank yous!!
Great service all around. I reached out last Thursday regarding a custom cake that I wanted to have made for Saturday for my girlfriend's bday. In all honestly I was expecting them not being able to accommodate with only 2 day's notice, however they eased my concerns and confirmed they could get it done. Alejandro keep in frequent contact with me the whole time and went out of his way to find a way to get the cake to me since we had a tropical depression come in over the weekend that made it near impossible to pickup the cake from their location or have it delivered until it passed. Thankfully it arrived just in time to surprise her during our birthday dinner. She loved it and it was delicious! Highly recommend their vanilla rum flavor.
Only have 1 Star because I couldn't give 0. They are overpriced and the quality is poor. The beautiful cakes they post and the product that they deliver are not the same. Patronize at your own risk. You've been warned.
Ordered a graduation cake and was VERY DISAPPOINTED. The cake looked good on the outside but was mushy in the inside and tasted nothing like the flavor I had requested and just tasted BAD. For the cost of the cake I was expecting to at least be able to eat it but due to the flavor and texture we ended up having to throw it out. I have called multiple times to let them know my disappointment and a week later still haven't gotten a response. Will never order from them again.
This is a Franchise. When you cut the cake, it's dry and the frosting is hard. Art by Lucilla is the Original ? it's moist and the frosting is creamy.
Delicious and very authentic flavor Congratulations, Raquel very nice and great customer service
I had a great experience with their employe Kimberley, she was very nice and she made a super great cake and my family and I really enjoyed it! Super great job ?
What i asked, first picture: marble cake filled with fudge, what i received second and third, picture: An incomplete cake and the flavor they decided. $175 dollars for something that it wasn’t what i asked for with 12 days prior to the event and they never told me if there was something they couldn’t do, they just did it their way. And even they didn’t put the flavor I wanted it was horrible, the cake dough wasn’t fresh, and I didn’t even know what was the filling flavor it was nasty. They used to do good cakes, but not anymore. Now they do whatever they want with the cakes and do not have good services I haven’t received any answer from them yet. They supposed to call me to give me a refund for the missing head in the cake and im still waiting for the call.
I wish I could write a five star review because the cake tasted so good, but the reality is that I will not buy from them again. I ordered a buttercream cake for a 50th birthday to serve 30 people. It would have gold drip and a big red rose at the top. When I arrived at 1pm, the cake that was suppose to be ready at 10am was not ready. I waited 1 hour for the cake because the initial writing looked ameturish, there was a misspelled word, and the cake was plain and unimpressive. Not something that could be presented as a signature cake gift. Even the drip looked sloppy. I was told that the regular decorator was not there. At the end of the day, that is not my problem. Any decorator should be able to deliver a product that looks professionally done and lives up to the Lucila standard.I certainly do not believe that my money was well spent. A regular cake to serve 30 is $65, so my $175 charge is a slap in the face for what I received.
Buying cakes at Lucila is a family tradition for any event. They used to make the most delicious rum cake. I order a cake two weeks in advance for a birthday party. When I arrive to pickup my cake at the time we agreed, my cake was not ready and the employee/owner claimed they lost power and all their cakes were damaged (this is a lie, when I went to order the cake they didn't have A/C). Why nobody called the clients to let them know? they just forgot to make my cake, it has happened before. I had to wait 30 minutes for my cake. When I finally got to cut the cake, it was not the rum cake flavor and honestly the texture looked like an old cake. They are not what they used to be. Definitely trying other places, Sweet Art by Lucila (which is close by) and Edda's.
