First time visiting a Whataburger. Great food and clean atmosphere. Lucille, the order attendant, was responsive and very sweet and patient. Kathy, the dining attendant, kept the seating area very clean and she conversed with us and gave us several suggestions on places to go to eat and see. I even talked with Jason, the manager, and he was thankful that we recognized their service. The sandwiches were fresh and tasty. The onion rings were not greasy and a good change to fries. But, the fries were good also. I recommend the avocado bacon burger.
My family and I went through the drive thru last night. Once we got to our condo we realized we did not get our French fries. I called up to Whataburger and the manager Jason was extremely kind and apologized. He then offered to cover our meal the next day. When we arrived the next day to get breakfast & lunch the lady taking our order Lucille was so cute and friendly. Jason introduced himself to my family and paid our meal. He walked up about 20 min later to check on us and apologized again. He is one of the best fast food managers I’ve ever met. He was respectful and kind to the customers and his employees. He was complimenting the workers. I truly believe all fast food restaurants managers should give compliments and Praise them for their hard work. Thank you Jason we really appreciate your kindness.
WOW, Lucille was a gem, what a lovely lady! Thank you for hiring the elderly, she does your restaurant proud. Actually she was the only employee we saw cleaning the carpets, wiping down tables and tidying up the drink area. The burgers were amazing, fries best we've had, milk shakes fabulous. Clean restaurant and restrooms.First time at Whataburger, will be looking for one in our area of Florida. Keep up the good job.
The grilled chicken is hit or miss sometimes, but other than that it is classic whataburger.Also, if you come in at 3am you might get some cookies from the cops.
Food is always freshly made. Staff is always courteous and pleasant. Yes, it gets very busy during tourist season, and the location is a challenge to pull in and out of, but this is a great place.
Everyone in my group agreed it was the best hamburgers they had ever had, without exception. The staff gave us experimental hot ketchup, which was the best hot ketchup anyone in our group had ever had, without exception. If you're not eating Whataburger, what are you even doing?

Giving a 3, not because of the food, because of the actions of the manager. I walked in and was met by a sweet elder lady giving me a genuine smile and asking how I was doing. After I ordered she asked if I was getting their onion rings :they are wonderful " she boasted . No ma'am, wasn't aware they were available, she said "well let see if they will swap your fries for the onion rings. Told her she didn't have to but, she insisted. Next I hear the manager scolding her about giving away the onion rings "they cost more, you have to stop this". Loud enough I could hear her and in front of ALL the employees on the floor. I expressed it wasn't a big deal, I was good with the fries. The manager stated "it wasn't just me" I replied "it was at this point and with all due respect that was uncalled for" and that she needed to get a refresher course in management 101 ALWAYS PRAISE IN PUBLIC AND DISCIPLINE IN PRIVATE!!!!!! I felt bad for that sweet women, thought she was gonna cry. She held it together and began to tell me her late father owned 9 Burger Kings before he passed, she was just wanting something to occupy her time. God bless her for having to deal with an incompetent manager that has no clue about "customer service" . I can only hope that the regional managers read these reviews, I will not be visiting the Destin whataburger again after this.
5 stars is just not enough!!! Ohhhh Whataburger how I've missed you. The new hatch green chile burger is aaaaamazing. But the best part was the customer service by everyone...but especially Travis! His friendlines and smile made my day! We will be back before we leave.
Kathy was the most amazing lady. She told us about the area and the secret places around town. Great service and great food. Super clean place!
