Food was very mediocre. I got the fried whiting fish. It could have been seasoned better I was disappointed. I also tried my daughter's shrimp basket same result as the fish left me disappointed with tasteless food. Waitress was amazing and my wife's blackened shrimp salad was amazing though.
My husband and I went here while vacationing in Destin and the food was phenomenal and I am a picky eater. Everything was great and very delicious. Awesome customer service. Our waiter Leeann was amazing.
We were treated like unwelcomed guest. Once we were seated our waitress served us food and came back to the table with her manager, Nikki, who immediately accused us of yelling. This unprovoked act took all of us by surprise! The fact that this manager never explained herself or asked us what was going on to upset her employee was baffling. We asked for a check and took our food to go later just tossing it because we couldn't trust what had been served. The portions were very small and had no seasonings on them. I would strongly recommend courses in management and diversity training for this establishment. I will never patronize this business.
Very disappointed. After waiting 1hr for table. Then 15min for waitress to come to table. And she appeared to be unhappy. Then took our order for appetizers. Then she never came back for half hr. and we had to call her over. We asked for a Mgr. When Mgr came to table she was very rude. Nikki the Mgr needs some management training. I will not be visiting this place again and will see that anybody I know will not waste there time.
We wanted something we could carry out and looked up close by restaurants. The shrimp basket came up so we put in an over the phone order. What a surprise, but my wife and I had the coconut shrimp and it was very good, our grandson had just some fried shrimp and they were also very good. The hush puppies had a nice taste and the best part, the price was right. It does not have the glitz and glamor of some of the big time restaurants, but sure a nice find.
The service here was fantastic. Our server Nick went out of his way to make sure we got just what we needed. We enjoyed it so much we came back again during our stay in Destin.
The food was great- you can’t go wrong with all you can eat catfish! Our server- Nick was fantastic! We would definitely go back. The outdoor seating area was great too.
This place is so under rated. It was amazing. No frills but the best seafood in town. Service was perfect. This is our new "go to" place when we come.
This place is great for the price. It is not the best seafood in Destin, but it is good. They do have outdoor seating, so that is a plus. We had the Boom Boom Shrimp appetizer, as well as the Gumbo with Rice. We both had the seafood basket as our meal. The best, by far, was the Boom Boom Shrimp. That was the best we ever had. The rest of the food was good, not great. We ate at Kenny D's earlier this week and their version of the Gumbo and basket was much better, but of course it costs more. We have them 5 stars because of the service. Our waiter, Juval, was very friendly and brought everything we asked for right away. It was worth it to come here for the service. Overall, you get what you pay for, but, the service is top notch.
Best bang for the buck when you come to Destin. We randomly choose this place for lunch after playing in the gulf all morning and I'm so glad we did. If you want some amazing seafood that won't break your pocket book, this is the place to go.My wife ordered the shrimp basket and said it was the best shrimp she's ever had. The shrimp slaw was also very good and has a hint of flavor that kinda reminds you of fall flavors like cinnamon. And the shrimp in the slaw can actually be found.I had the whitefish tacos and a side of green beans. You get 2 tacos and the mango salsa they put on it is really good. There are nice chunks of mango and the white fish is well portioned and grilled perfectly and moist. Probably the best fish tacos I've had. Green beans were also very good as they had great flavor, almost as if cooked in a stew of some kind.We ordered funnel cake fries for dessert and they were also top notch, they weren't all stuck in a blob like you get at the fairs.The staff were really friendly as if they'd known you for years and the restaurant was nice and comfortable and clean.The price for the food was really good and even cheap compared to other seafood restaurants that are mentioned much more online and in YouTube videos of Destin.We originally planned to go to a different place for each meal while we were here, but we decided this place was so good, that we are gonna come back again before we leave.We even bookmarked it in our maps for our next trip down here.
