My last night in the Destin area and I wanted pasta which, if you’re not an Olive Garden fan, is difficult to find in this area. After perusing the menu online, I went to Margaritaville. After waiting about 5 minutes, I was seated and immediately asked what I wanted to drink. The drink menu alone is several pages long so I wasn’t able to look it over. Fortunately, I was driving so I ordered a Coke. For my entree I ordered the chicken broccoli pasta and a side garden salad. The wait was reasonable but when the salad arrived, the inedible, dirty lettuce core made up a major portion. The pasta dish arrived at the same time, per my request, and contained only 2 florets of broccoli. The pasta was relatively good but needed salt. The plus was the stellar service - the waitress came back several times, made sure there were extra napkins and that my drink stayed full (since it was absolutely loaded with ice). I probably will not go back.
I've been to Margaritaville at Universal's City Walk, the one in the Destiny USA mall in Syracuse NY and now this one. Out of all three this one is probably right in the middle in quality. They no longer have island rice, which is the only reason my wife wanted to go here. Their nachos are huge and tasty! Their grilled chicken was just okay and their kids Mac and Cheese looked like it was Kraft Mac and Cheese. Waitress was alright, other staff was friendly. It's cool being on the water but they had no outside seating which was a bummer.
The fish in the fish and chips meal were jumbo sized fish sticks with hard breading. It tasted like the fish sticks from the frozen foods section of a grocery store.
We ordered a burger to split and it was delicious! We love how large the cocktail menu is. Our bartender was friendly and attentive!
The food looked like they just threw everything on there i had the burger & it was not worth the price i will not be going back!
Our server was unbelievable and very attentive. Very pleasant as well. The food was not very good, however. Definitely avoid the crab cakes. Three people in our party had the crab cakes either as a platter or a sandwich and that was the feedback. The burgers were pretty solid. We had a party of 13, and consensus for the burgers was positive. Of course you can't beat the environment being right on the docks.
