Was impressed that they went above and beyond by sending a manager to the table to handle food allergies. They accidentally made a mistake on one of the non-allergy orders and did not the order placed. the manager came out and was honest with us about what happened and was gracious enough to comp off the meal and every single person that came to our table apologized for the delay. Very professional and caring! Food was delicious & the atmosphere is amazing. Will return!
Spent the day in Destin shopping and looking to eat seafood. Prior to arriving, I had thought we were going to another restaurant but at the last moment we went to Lulu’s. I like the way the restaurant was laid out and had plenty of open areas for the breeze. Our waitress Laura arrived and took our drink order. Being a diabetic I ordered unsweetened tea with no lemon. Everyone else chose water with lemon. Being thirsty I took a big gulp only to discover it was sweet tea! My brother-in-law oredered a bowl of gumbo with a half shrimp poboy. My sister got a hamburger and my wife got a salad with an order of green tomatoes. I ordered the gumbo with the half shrimp poboy. The food was average at best! The poboy came with onion and tomato but no dressing of any kind. We did a generous bowl of gumbo with four shrimp and an abundance of okra. The poboy also came with fries that resembled Wendy’s nasty fries. My wife did enjoy her green tomatoes. I know there are better places to eat in Destin. Oh the brightly colored pipes near the ceiling need a good dusting…
Great food and really good service. We went for an early dinner and waited less than ten minutes to be seated. Even our toddler enjoyed the dinner and talked about it the next day.
Nice family restaurant. There is a gift store and great water view. Open concept restaurant, it was hot in there because of no AC but there were plenty of fans and fortunately a nice breeze. The staff looked hot and exhausted but did a great job. There was live music which was great! It was too hot to order anything heavy so I went with the Shrimp tacos and Tortilla chips. My tacos were just ok, it seemed like something was missing, I added the Lulu's hot sauce and salsa to help it out. My friend got the Greek Shrimp salad which she enjoyed. I would come back but definitely on a cooler day, possibly early spring or late fall.
The service was great, food was great, atmosphere was great. There is a small arcade to help pass the time for kids. They had an area outside in the sand with cornhole boards set up to play.The fried green tomatos are outstanding, my wife had the grilled jumbo shrimp and she said it was very good and she would get it again. I had the fried snapper and it was outstanding. My son decided he would go with the Mac and cheese and he ate it. He's isn't a big eater so it was more than enough for him.
This place is a definite beach experience, you're seaside with the sand beneath your toes , live music is also there often (not always)Very friendly service. The food was terrific and order was delivered accurately.We will definitely be revisiting each time we come to destin.
This is our second trip to lulu's the first time being in Orange beach, AL. The wait is alittle long so I recommend getting on the virtual waitlist. The view, gift shop, and arcade make the wait go by faster. The service has always been really good. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the bread pudding for dessert! Can't wait to come back.
I was with 10 other people with 5 of them being kids we were on the beach it has amazing views good photo ops and a scavenger hunt! It is a good place if you have young chilled but a warning: lots of little trinkets that are cheap but they add up! I shared nachos and they were AMAZING! Not quite 5 stars because we waited 3 hours granted it was rush hour but the kudos got very thirsty. Try and eat a snack and drink something in the car if you are going at rush hour. My family and I are on vacation in Destin Florida. We typically try to eat at the condo and take advantage of the seafood markets and cook fresh seafood ourselves. Tonight we came off of the beach late and decided to go somewhere kid friendly. We chose LULUs. I was skeptical about the quality thinking it was a typical tourist overpriced subpar “seafood “ place like most in destin. However, I was blown away with the quality of the peel and eat shrimp and the snapper. All of our food was fresh and hot and our server Luke was amazing and very helpful. We will definitely make it an annual stop. Everything was great from the atmosphere to the food to the service. Thanks!!
We ate here during our family vacation. Great scene for kids if any age. Service was great, arrived at 4:30, wait times 30 min. Food was okay but not as good as I expected from a local landmark.
